Something very different for this post! If you've watched my stories a few weeks ago, you probably saw the armor and hammer I was making for a renfaire. I finally took the time to look through some pictures and show you the outfit! I'm super proud of how everything turned out and felt pretty cool wearing it all. I really wanted to post this on my feed since it's something I very much enjoyed making. At first it seemed very intimidating, but now all I want to do is make more props and costumes 😌 This outfit specifically is based on my favorite pair of earrings (on the last pic), made by @nana_porcelain I wanted to make the gauntlets in real life so I could wear them, and that turned into making more of the designs. She has an absolutely gorgeous line of Flower Guardian jewelry which served as the blueprint and inspiration for this project. The hammer and gauntlets are based off her designs. The gorget and leg armor were inspired by multiple pieces. I'd love to continue working on this project, as I had a lot more I wanted to make. And i had planned a way more elaborate outfit. But due to weather and time (and me planning stuff badly) I didn't get around to everything. Really want to expand on that armor, maybe a shield and dagger? Who knows, hopefully some day 👀
.
It does feel a little weird to post something so different, but since I got so many positive and enthusiastic messages on the progress I shared in my stories, I had enough courage to post these pics lmao. Big thanks to my friend Cat and my partner for taking some pictures of me during the event! 🌞

Linktober day 15: Princess 🔼👑
.
Oohhh Ocarina Of Time remake Zelda, I cannot wait to meet you 😌🤲 She's all angles and eyeballs and I love her updated design so much!!!! I love how everyone looks so impish in their new designs, bet they did that for me specifically 😌
.
Had a lot of fun playing around with the mosaic brush made by @_leevolt_ !!! Its one of my absolute favorite brushes but I dont get to use it that often. The background of this frame seemed like a fun opportunity to mess around with it a bit. In the end I ended up going for the less bright version. I felt like the other one was a bit too distracting, but this one might be too faint??? Maybe I should tinker with it a little bit more. You can still have a look at the other version on the second slide! This made me so excited to make more pieces with this brush so uhhh yea expect more of that 😂

Linktober day 11: Korok! 🍃🍂🎵
.
Really enjoyed the korok ceremony in wind waker. I love the music and the koroks singing and Link doing a lil dance. So I knew I really wanted to draw that! Kinda sad i couldn't find the song to add to this post tho, bc its a really fun one too!
I went with a bit of a mix between the two others i did. I really liked how the rendering from day one looked but I still wanted Link to look like his wind waker version.
The post makes the image quite small so i added some zooms so you can see all the details. I dont think ive worked with this much green in a long time and it was a bit challenging to keep enough contrast (fun fact my favorite color is actually green! Especially a pretty deep forest green 😤)
I'd really like to add some more background, maybe fix the lighting a lil bit and turn this into a full illustration and a print for dcc :>

Linktober promptlist is made by @art_of_jack and you can find it (albeit a bit weirdly cropped) in the last slide!

Drawtober x Wiztober: Shadow Prince & Insect 👥🐞🦋🪾
.
Only in the darkest of night is when you can catch a glimpse of this elusive creature, whose arrival is marked by the appreance of fireflies. His magic flows through the forest and protects all within its bounds. A guardian shrouded in darkness, the Shadow Prince.
.
I said i was gonna do a couple of drawing challenges, so here's one! Or two i guess! Decided to combine some prompts that went well together and did my best to just have fun with this one. Not thinking too much about colors and shadow and detail. And I really love how this turned out! Instagram messed with the colors a bit so it might look a little too dark, but thats alright. Would really love to add this to the forest fortune lore zine and extend that world a bit more.

A forest sprite has come to visit you. They are quite mischievous so you better keep an eye on your belongings 🍄🌿🍂✨️
.
Wanted to share another illustration from my fortune teller cards! Been trying to decide what the best way would be to show them off but I tend to overthink that too much. So here is one! This one is from the 'mischievous fortune' card. If time allows it id really love to make a little field guide about all the creatures on these cards. I think that could be a very fun project to work on!

Linktober day 2: Pirate! ☠️🩲
.
Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks were the only Zelda games I had played for a very long time. Meeting Niko as his younger self in Wind Waker was so fun, as i only knew his older version from Spirit Tracks. It made me crack up that he's so excited for another swabbie on board to do the laundry. I really enjoy his dynamic with Link!
Until he made me jump from lantern rope to lantern rope and it took me 4 billion tries and I stood in the corner of shame because i got so frustrated. Cant believe he would bully me like that and say I made it look easy after i finally got it 😭 Top ten anime betrayal for sure 😔
.
I forgot to add it yesterday, but you can find the prompt lists made by @art_of_jack in the second slide!

Linktober day 1: Hero! 🗡🍎
.
My favorite version of Link so far is when he's one apple tall and wielding a weapon three times his size. Picking up the giant glaives in Wind Waker is making me laugh every time and i felt the same when Link picks up the master sword in the new trailer. Its bigger than he is, how did he manage that 😭😂 So for my friend @art_of_jack 's Linktober challenge I just had to draw him like that, the littlest of guys with a sword he can barely hold 😌
.
.
.
Hope i can do a few more throughout the month, this was really fun to work on 😤

I feel like i haven't drawn in ages and its kinda hard to get back into the flow???? 🤡🤡🤡 Was working on some illus today but for some reason im really struggling with things that normally come so easy. Being busy with market prep and then travelling and doing a con and getting sick on top of it, it felt like I hadn't held a pencil in weeks. So I browsed through my sketchbook a bit to see that that's not true at all. Ive been doodling a ton, mostly mushrooms because its getting so autumny. 🍄🍂🪾 Here's a few recent sketches, some from the fortune cards and some for things I still want to work on. Really hope i can work on some fun prompts for the drawing challenges so I can get back into the flow and just have fun creating stuff 😤🙌🔥
