One thing about me… we’re gonna celebrate my baby girl. Every. Single. Time. 💜 looking backward. Seven years of pictures. Seven years of watching Riley grow. And suddenly Im able to see something that I couldn’t see while I was living each individual day: the accumulation of God’s goodness.

1 — a tea party.
2 — Moana beach party.
3 — Disney.
4 — Princess Peach Party in Florida AND a Cry Babies party in NYC because apparently one birthday wasn’t enough 😂
5 — Disney again.
6 — Great Wolf Lodge.
And now 7 🎰🎰🎰 — Broadway and a whole day in the city. 🥹

Looking through these pictures has me completely speechless. SEVEN YEARS. How did we get here already?

Before you, I had no idea how deeply another human being could change me. I thought you needed me because I was your mommy, but the older you get, the more I realize I needed you more than you ever needed me. God knew exactly what He was doing when He gave me you.

Every cake, every costume, every trip, every balloon, every late night planning, every dollar spent, every little detail I would do it all over again. Not because birthdays have to be extravagant, but because your existence deserves to be celebrated. I want you to grow up with memories that remind you that you were thought about, considered, cherished and SO deeply loved.

And somehow, while I was busy giving you a childhood, you were giving me a life I never knew I needed.

Watching that tiny baby turn into this funny, beautiful, smart, adventurous little girl has been one of the greatest privileges of my entire life. I don’t know what I did to deserve seven years of you, but I thank God that He trusted me to be your mother.

Seven years of Riley. Seven years of motherhood. Seven years of growing up together. And baby, if there’s one thing you’ll NEVER have to question, it’s whether your mama celebrated you.

Happy 7th birthday to the little girl who changed my entire world. Being your mother is the blessing of my lifetime.
