Gilbert is now in the thick of the teenage phase and I honestly didnt believe it could be as testing as the early pup stage but I was wrong! 😱

He's lucky that he's cute enough to get away with the carnage he is causing 🤣

We'll continue to love him throughout every stage ❤️

I literally could write a whole book about our experiences during the puppy stage. Gilbert is our first dog and we have learned so much about raising a puppy. We've made loads of mistakes along the way and we are still learning every day!

For those of you just starting out, here are some of the things I wish I had known at the beginning. It's a tough old ride at the start, I've had 3 kids and I would say it is on par (if not harder) going through the newborn and toddler stage, although the phases pass more quickly with a dog!

We are now entering the adolescent stage which is bringing a whole host of other challenges 🤣

BUT the love you feel (and receive) from your pooch really makes it all worth it. I truly believe it's one of the most precious relationships and I'm loving the journey 💖 by @cavapoo_gilbert

🎃👻 Happy Halloween furiends! 🎃👻

Everyone is very excited about Halloween in our house, except for Gilbert who will not like the doorbell constantly going and the scary costumes 😱.... but he will like the treats! 🍬

Wishing you all a very spooky weekend whether you're taking part in the Halloween celebrations or curling up in the warm with Strictly, a glass of wine and your pup on your lap.... (I think I prefer the second option 😅)..

I think Autumn suits him! 🍂 🍁 🤎

Sniffy walks are a lot more fun with all the leaves around. Gilbert loves a breakfast scatter feed in the garden and he takes ages to find his food in all the leaves! It really tires him out too 🙌

Are you all loving the Autumn vibes? Any plans for Halloween weekend? 🎃

Swipe to see Gilbert looking scrumptious after his groom 👈

Seriously though, these could be different dogs 🤭

Before Gilbert had his groom I thought he might be putting on a bit of weight, but it turns out it was masses of curly poodle fur 🤣

Doesn't he look gorgeous? Thanks as always to @groom.and.zoom , the most lovely and patient dog groomer in Berkshire. 🥰

There's no better feeling than a sniffy, meandering, sunny Saturday dog walk! ☀️ 🌳

We had a lovely stroll for an hour and a half in the most stunning surroundings.

Now time for a cuppa for me and an afternoon snooze for Gilbert 😴 ☕️

How's your Saturday going? 🐾 💕

Just perfection. He looks so scummy, I could eat him 😋

I'll be cursing him later when he's trying to pull my washing off the line 🤣

Happy Monday everyone, have a great new week!

🍂🍁 It's suddenly looking and feeling very Autumnal outside 🍂🍁

This is Gilbert's first time experiencing Autumn. We love the beautiful golds and oranges that are suddenly emerging, the ground full of new treasures to sniff and explore - conkers, nuts, leaves. Dewy spider webs drape themselves from branches and windowsills, sparkling in the light.

The misty, grey skies clear into brilliant sunshine, warming our noses. New boots for me to trudge through the leaves in, new scents for Gilbert's little button nose to discover. Autumn gives a whole new dimension to our dog walks 🫶

Feeling thankful for the seasons! 🙏

Are you looking forward to Autumn? 🍁🥮👻🍂🎃
