Yeeaaaah, finally done!

My demygriphs ❤️

Some parts were very cool to paint, like the Demigryph skin or the yellow/orange parts.
Not used to plastic, tbh that’s was a nightmare to built.

Never played this unit and saturday will be the first time with a little french tournament. Tell me if you want to know my list. :)

Shoot or charge ? 🔫

One of the mighty imperial chariot.

Played once as a Von Zippel steam tank.

Who’s missing this choice of unit?

1,250 points of Empire of Man, ready for #ParisWargameExpo!

It’s been a while since I last played, so I hope I haven’t forgotten the rules. :)

Second hope: finishing my baggage train in time for the event.

Et pour les Français : qui sera là le 17 octobre ?

8 months - 1 mini.

That’s what it took me to finish my captain. 🫠

Welcome to dad life - finding 5 minutes here for a touch-up, 15 minutes there to adjust. And honestly, a lot of laziness, tiredness and better things to do than paint!

Next: my outriders. 🥲

And the final touch was missing: the shield transfers.

Bonus: a few pictures from two games (and two victories) against different Ogres.

Everything about AI is not bad.

For example, my friend Claude helped me build an interface to create my battle reports. 🖼️

(Since I never have time to play an actual game.)

My most ambitious post yet.

I tried to make a tutorial. ..but not just a tutorial. This one is also inspired by the White Dwarf style. 🫠

Yes, some explanations might be missing. And the painting isn’t perfect.🤷‍♂️

Here’s how I manage to paint efficiently, using a simple and straightforward method.

If you have any comments or questions, feel free to ask.🙏

And that’s it, finally finished!! 20 halberdiers, and 24 with the griffon ready to fill the ranks.

I’m still waiting for the shield decals arriving early January, and after that there will only be the first battle missing..🔥🏹

I took lots of photos during the painting sessions… Should I put together a small step by step tutorial?🤔

2025: it’s a wrap.
This year, I started a daemon army and challenged myself to paint 25 halberdiers in two weeks…😭

Well, the Empire is still my army of the heart, and I’m not even sure I’ll go much further with daemons. 🫠

I didn’t have as much time as I wanted to paint, and I still have a loooong list of ideas and minis to work on: a halfling steam tank, a new great cannon based on the new Cathay kit, lots of outriders, a few captains for a City of Nuln list… and more ogres.🥰🥰

See you in 2026, and happy holidays!

Shoot & Die. 🏹☠️

That’s basically the whole purpose of this unit and I don’t expect too much from them on the battlefield.

The archers were actually really fun to paint: super minimalist, not overloaded with sculpted details. I loved it.

Can’t wait for the next Made to Order to grab more archers and handgunners. What about you?

What a mission. 🤯🤯

15 halberds in 2 weeks and it’s only the beginning.
Some of the guys have a better paint job… depending on how tired I was. 😆

and now they’re making old ones in Made to Order. SERIOUSLY GAMES WORKSHOP?
Guess I’ll have to paint Halberdiers again…
