Pe lângă Sims, Caesar 3, Worms și Carmageddon, găsiți zina cu site-urile proiectului si articolele scrise de @drepturidigitale și pliante IT din anii 2000, muzici și videoclipuri, dar și builder-ul cu care am făcut site-urile! Practic de toate minus mirosul de țigări. (că fumul există 🌬)

Dacă nu ajungeți, ne vedem la final de octombrie la Timișoara la Sit+Read, și site-urile sunt always available la www.illmissyouwheniscroll.net.

Granița dintre privat și public devine tot mai neclară: datele personale se tranzacționează, iar camerele care înregistrează mișcarea oamenilor se înmulțesc. În Sensitive Data, Jolana Havelková își însușește imagini de la camere web instalate în orașe și la țară și le compune în benzi verticale din sute de cadre mici, în care apar locuri, oameni și artista însăși.

The boundary between private and public is becoming ever more blurred: personal data is traded and cameras recording people’s movements keep multiplying. ‘‘May We Be Glad to Gather Our Bones’’ explores the enduring influence of Romania’s former secret police, the Securitate, through a performative installation and re-construction of historical visual narratives.

Set in late-1980s Bucharest, the work follows an underground theatre group secretly developing a satirical play about the regime. As the actors transform themselves into officers and their relatives, rehearsals become increasingly unstable. What begins as a playful act of resistance slowly descends into suspicion and paranoia, as the same mechanisms they seek to parody begin to emerge within the group itself.

Drawing on ‘‘Reconstituirea” (Reenactment) made by / against the state and personal testimonies surrounding the Securitate, the project examines how systems of control construct truth, shape collective memory, and continue to echo long after their collapse. Through performativity and fabrication, ‘‘May We Be Glad to Gather Our Bones’’ reimagines the (visual) archive as a site of resistance.

Announcing the upcoming residency of Federico Durán (CO, 1998) to take place at www.bucharestair.com between 15 August - 15 November 2026.

The residency of Federico Durán is the pilot project of the collaboration between the Ministry of Cultures, Arts, and Knowledge of Colombia, Corporación Colombia Crea Talento (CoCrea), and Bucharest Artists in Residency.

Federico Durán has been selected by an independent local jury to be the first Colombian artist in residency in the period 15 August - 15 November 2026.

It seems that happiness has become less a state of mind than an everyday task on social media. It demands continuous work, promises (self)improvement, and often gets intertwined with contradictions, exhaustion, or irony.

As a warm-up to their end of year exhibition in Stuttgart, the artists ended up adding another task on their list: an additional exhibition in Bucharest, framed as a “happy break”. Yet the break has transformed itself into work. Rather than interrupting artistic production, the show marks a temporary shift in its conditions and inspiration. Practices of care and rest, moments of withdrawal and leisure, wandering through an unfamiliar city, all become part of the work. How hard are you working for your own happiness? This Lukewarm World takes on the shape of a re-examination of the contemporary ‘monstrous’ through the lens of Mary Shelly’s Frankenstein, whose composite body can be understood as a metaphor for contemporary queer and trans* existence.

Trans* and queer communities serve as popular scapegoats for right-wing media and conservative politics. The trans body is often described as ‘monstrous’ and ‘unnatural’, failing to comply with heteronormative desires and traditional forms of kinship. But adopting the ‘monstrous’, therefore becoming hybrid, becomes the rejection of definition, becoming something more than what was intended by the structures that created us. by @cavgallery
