🚨🗣️ Coming in at the number 5 seed in the eastern conference of our all-unc league are the Cleveland Cavaliers. While there isn’t much that stands out about this team on the surface, they rank relatively high in all facets of the game (see the team overview. The starting five is comprised of capable two-way hall of fame talents that will get buckets on one end before turning around to be just as overwhelmingly dominant defensively. The rotating cast of Shaq, Thurmond, and Ben Wallace in the paint will make inside scoring nearly impossible for opposing teams, while the likes of Wade, Rondo, and 7x all-defensive-teamer Walt Frazier will make perimeter attacks just as difficult a task. Not to mention that one stop is all it’s gonna take for this squad to shut out offenses—second-chance opportunities with these giants down low will be few and far between.

Cleveland’s bench unit consists more of refined specialists. The offense will run through Antawn Jamison—perhaps the most improbable member of the league’s exclusive 20,000 points club—who will have no trouble being set up by the abundance of playmaking guards that make up this rotation of reserves. The depth falls off as Cleveland’s final roster spots are taken by a handful of fan favorite novelty players, but there is still enough strength in the front half of this bench unit to ensure the staters can enjoy sufficient rest.

The one major flaw this team has is its lackluster shooting. A lot is riding on James Harden’s outside scoring ability, as nobody else in this team’s rotation truly thrives from outside. This team’s offense could looked clogged and slow on nights where Harden isn’t on, which historically have tended to be the nights where the lights are brightest. Being the regular season ceiling raiser he is, this lack of shooting depth probably won’t affect them when it comes to the standings, but things could get ugly once the postseason arrives. Relying on the shooting prowess of Shawn Marion, Baron Davis, Richard Jefferson and Channing Frye is an uncertain gamble that could bite this team later on down the road.

THE STORY IS WRITTEN… BUT IS THERE ONE FINAL CHAPTER? 👑☘️ LeBron James returning to Cleveland has become one of the biggest storylines of the NBA offseason. @kalshi

After delivering the Cavaliers their first NBA championship in franchise history, many believe there’s only one place that truly feels like home for the NBA’s all-time leading scorer.

Imagine this starting five:

🔥 James Harden
🔥 Donovan Mitchell
👑 LeBron James
🛡️ Evan Mobley
💪 Jarrett Allen

That’s an MVP, a 4-time NBA Champion, one of the NBA’s best defensive big men, elite shot creators, and a roster built to compete for a title immediately.

LeBron’s Cleveland résumé is already legendary:

🏆 No. 1 overall pick in 2003
🏆 11 seasons with the Cavaliers
🏆 2 MVP awards in Cleveland
🏆 5 Eastern Conference titles with the franchise
🏆 2016 NBA Champion
🏆 2016 Finals MVP
🏆 Ended Cleveland’s 52-year major professional sports championship drought
🏆 Completed the greatest comeback in Finals history after trailing the 73-9 Warriors 3-1

Now imagine him coming back one final time—not to rebuild, but to chase another championship with a roster that’s already among the East’s best.

Nothing has been finalized, but Cleveland continues to be mentioned as one of the teams monitoring LeBron’s situation as free agency unfolds.

One last run.

One last homecoming.

One last chance to bring another banner to The Land.

Would you want to see LeBron finish his career where it all began? 👀🏆 by @cavscode

😂 IMAGINE THIS TIMELINE… LeBron James returns to Cleveland. -> The Cavaliers trade James Harden to Dallas… for Kyrie Irving. After everything that’s happened between those two, the NBA scriptwriters would officially be out of ideas. @kalshi

It would also make Brian Dameris’ legendary James Harden rant even funnier. Back in 2023, the Mavericks broadcaster went viral after saying:

“You’re not The Beard. You’re not the system. You’re the problem.” (Yahoo Sports)

Fast forward to now…

🏆 LeBron is back where it all started.

☘️ Kyrie reunites with LeBron in Cleveland nearly a decade after delivering the city its first NBA championship.

🤠 Dallas ends up with James Harden… the very player their own announcer once ripped apart on live television.

You genuinely couldn’t write a crazier NBA storyline.

Would this be the wildest offseason sequence in league history? 😂👇 by @cavscode

WHERE WILL LEBRON JAMES PLAY NEXT? 👀 With Giannis Antetokounmpo now in Miami, the biggest question left this offseason is where LeBron James will take his talents next. @kalshi

According to multiple reports, several contenders are in the mix, including:

🌴 Miami Heat
🌉 Golden State Warriors
☘️ Cleveland Cavaliers
🤠 Dallas Mavericks
🔔 Philadelphia 76ers

A return to Miami would reunite LeBron with Pat Riley and pair him with Giannis, instantly creating one of the most dominant duos the league has ever seen. Meanwhile, Golden State has been heavily linked as the Warriors look to unite LeBron with Stephen Curry for what could be one final championship run. Cleveland offers a storybook ending where it all began, while Dallas and Philadelphia have also emerged as serious contenders in league circles.

No decision has been made, but one thing is certain…

LeBron is the final domino of an offseason that’s already changed the NBA forever.

BREAKING: According to Marc Stein Cleveland is looming as an interested team to land Jonathan Kuminga. SO are the Cavs in the running for Kuminga? 🤔

I think the Cavs could really benefit from a bench spark type of guy like Kuminga. Do you think he's worth it? 🤷🏻‍♂️ by @cavscode

The Hawks came into Cleveland hot, but the Cavs cooled them off 😮‍💨🧊

Donovan Mitchell led the team with 31 points 📊

Evan Mobley had a strong 22 PTS / 19 REB double-double 💪

The win gives the Cavaliers their 4th in a row 👀
