POSTS STORIES REELS
The workshop performance of “Born 2 Reign” returns to the City of Inglewood May 2nd-3rd with 3 shows that will take us to a world where influence is the crown. And the label? That’s the kingdom. It’s the Modern story of King David inspired by the Bible, Tanakh and Quran. Blending hip-hop, gospel, spoken word, R&B, and cinematic storytelling, this is not a traditional musical. It is a concert, a revival, and a reckoning. The story follows David, a gifted songwriter rising from obscurity as the reigning label president Saul begins to unravel. Alongside him are Jonathan, who chooses covenant over blood; Michal, torn between love and legacy; Eliab and the Jesse Boys, the overlooked brothers; Mephibosheth and the Lodebar crew, survivors counted out too early; and Bathsheba and Uriah, whose presence exposes the cost of unchecked power and Samuel and Nathania who set the stage for all to come: all surrounded by an electrifying cast of voices, bodies, and stories. At its core, Born 2 Reign asks one dangerous question: Why would hell invest so much in you… unless you were Born 2 Reign? This is a story about delayed, not denied. About knowing who you are before the world decides for you. It’s officially the 5th week of the 5th year of me here at DNA Prep Academy and I get a chance to talk to our leaders.. If you told me 6 years ago that being a Head of School/ School Principal was one of the chapters in my life’s book then I would have probably laughed. Hundreds of incredible students later I am prouder than ever and humbled to be apart of their life’s chapters. In my new book “Born 2 Reign” by talk about the idea that what seems delayed is not denial and although it’s important to focus on goals and trajectories - it’s just as important to embrace HERE (Our present day/ our Now) as holy. In the words of Hamilton - “There’s a million things I haven’t done just you wait” but I’m also grateful that every one of these years have been intentional. Let week 5 begin! by @cbgarts
This was a surprise video introduction that made me emotional during my last engagement with the #born2reignexperience . It’s always amazing when you are able to hear and see how people see you; even when you don’t see it sometimes. Thank you to #STAugustineMBC for seeing me and giving me a platform to walk in purpose. Being able to share my story through these biblical hero’s means the world. #Born2Reigntour #manlaws101 #BRainey by @cbgarts
Grateful to @libertychurch_tlc for inviting me to minister this past Sunday & buying out all my books that I had on hand. I’m really honored, humbled & grateful to God, my tribe for always thinking about me and to this incredible Pastor (Pastor Cross & Asst Pastor @thehouseofkingdavid ). Special shoutout to the cast of @born2reignmovement for accompanying me. I stepped out on faith with this new devotional book (had to battle feeling unworthy and enough) & God is already showing out as God uses all of that. Looking for more churches and opportunities to reach more people through this experience. Looking for the Kings & Queens out there as we look at David, Eliab, Michal, Mephibosheth, Saul, Bathsheba and more. The message is called - “We Not Denied” and comes with the message, skit and dance piece inspired by characters from the David universe. #Born2Reignmovement #kingDavid #booktour #cbgarts by @cbgarts

BE THERE THIS WEEKEND AS HIP HOP MEETS THE STORY OF DAVID … with all different styles of music, there’s something for everybody here. #WhiteHallArtsAcademy #Ingelwoodtheatregroup #Born2ReignMusical #20Years #ThePlaceToBe by @cbgarts
MEET JONATHAN & MICHAL: One becomes his brother… The other becomes his first love Jonathan: loyalty you don’t question Michal: love you don’t forget They both see David before the world does Before the fame, Before the crown Before everything gets complicated But here’s the truth… Love and loyalty don’t always survive success. Jonathan is forced to choose: blood or brotherhood Michal is forced to choose: heart or reality And when the crown enters the room… everything shifts Because sometimes the people who believe in you first… are the ones who feel it the most when you change This isn’t just friendship. This isn’t just romance This is what happens when destiny pulls people in different directions And not everybody makes it through the journey the same… But you got to be there to experience it!!! 🎟️ Born 2 Reign at the Miracle Theater: May 2–3 Brought to you by @whitehallartsacademy and @inglewoodtheatergroup by @cbgarts
MEET BATHSHEBA & URIAH: Love wasn’t the problem… timing was. BATHSHEBA: (Played by @quejonne_ ) beauty, grace, and a storm beneath the surface URIAH: (Played by @_justinwalls ) loyal, grounded, the kind of man who shows up when it counts with a huge pure heart. They were supposed to be simple. They were supposed to be safe. But in a world where power moves faster than love… even the strongest hearts can get caught in the crossfire. One choice. One rooftop secret. One moment that changes everything FORVER. Some love stories build you… This one tests you Do you stay loyal… or follow desire? 🎟️ Born 2 Reign at the Miracle Theater: May 2–3 Brought to you by @whitehallartsacademy and @inglewoodtheatergroup by @cbgarts
MEET DAVIDS BROTHERS … “THE JESSE BOYS”: ELIAB, SHAMMAH & ABINADAB ELIAB: polished, disciplined, built for the spotlight SHAMMAH: energy, charisma, the crowd favorite ABINADAB: steady, consistent, never outworked This ain’t overnight success… this is years of grinding Rehearsals nobody saw Rooms that didn’t open Moments that almost came… but didn’t They did everything right And still found themselves… waiting Because sometimes the hardest place to be isn’t the bottom It’s being next… Next in line Next to blow Next to be chosen But never called This is the real story of delayed… not denied What do you do when you’ve given your life to something… and it still hasn’t given you your moment back? Do you stay ready… or do you start to break? 🎟️ Born 2 Reign at the Miracle Theater: May 2–3 Brought to you by @whitehallartsacademy and @inglewoodtheatergroup by @cbgarts
MEET SAMUEL & NATHANIA: (Chairmen of the Board) Before the crown… there was a voice… Samuel: the one who hears what others ignore Nathania: the one who reminds you this story isn’t new… just louder They don’t chase the spotlight; They shift it. While everybody else is watching the stage… they’re watching destiny unfold They see kings before the world ever claps for them They know the cost before the crown ever shines And when they speak… everything changes because sometimes… the most powerful people in the room aren’t performing… They’re calling 🎟️ Born 2 Reign at the Miracle Theater: May 2–3 Brought to you by @whitehallartsacademy and @inglewoodtheatergroup by @cbgarts
