I hope you find something that lights you up inside. Hiking, dancing, paddling, lifting, walking…anything that gets you moving. It’s worth the effort.

Average because I ran 3:1 intervals.
Above average because most folks are on the couch.

I tore my PTT 15 months ago, had surgery 9 months ago and today I ran 5k for the first time in years! This goal has lived in my head for years because pre-kids Caitlin could run a 10k in under an hour without breaking a sweat. This feels like a return to self!

One final photo shoot with one of my most prized and loved plants (1). This epipremnum pinnatum albo started as a tiny 4-leaf cutting that I got from a local plant enthusiast in March 2023 (2). It has grown so much! I’ve propagated and gifted/sold so many plants from it.

Lately it’s been struggling. It had thrips for a while. It’s starting to yellow in a big way, which may be signaling trouble down below (the pot is too small or it has root rot). When a plant yellows this much, I chop and prop. About a month ago, I chopped the top off as an insurance policy in case the plant went downhill (3). Thank goodness!

Even the greenest of thumbs, which I’ll never claim to have, lose plants. Don’t beat yourself up too badly if one of yours goes downhill. by @cblavine
