Community partnership in action at Cornerstone:

We are grateful to our friends and partners at @kingsessingheals for providing a generous grant for student uniforms. Supplying these uniforms is another way we meet our promise to provide benefits to our families.

Executive Director Tim Massaquoi, LPC was on hand to meet our students and strengthen the relationship between Cornerstone and Kingsessing Heals— reinforcing our shared mission to support our community in Southwest Philadelphia/Kingsessing.

Great partnerships are built in person. Thank you to Cornerstone Christian Academy for hosting ADVIS President Ayanna Hill-Gill. Yanni spent time with CEO & Head of School Brandon McNeice and Chief Advancement Officer Alex Borders, seeing learning in action and hearing what matters most to their community.

Visits like this help ADVIS understand each member school’s goals up close, so we can offer support that truly fits. And they give schools a direct line to the resources and network ADVIS provides.

We’re grateful for Cornerstone’s partnership and are looking forward to what’s ahead! taken in Cornerstone Christian Academy by @ccaphilly

Welcome to the neighborhood, Jaylen Brown! 🏀

We were delighted to see @fchwpo begin his City of Philadelphia chapter at @fjmyers_rec just across the street from Cornerstone Christian Academy in Southwest Philadelphia.

We were especially glad to hear him speak about the importance of community, investing in young people, and making a difference in the lives of families. At Cornerstone, those same commitments have been at the heart of our work for 38 years and counting.

We can’t wait to see all that Jaylen will bring to our city, both on and off the court. 🏀

From the Cornerstone Warriors to our newest @sixers superstar, welcome to the neighborhood!

Each summer, a cohort of Cornerstone students are invited to travel beyond our city and region to experience all the joys of nature with our proud partners at @ymcacamptockwogh

Located on the shoreline of the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland, Cornerstone middle school students join campers from around the region for 1- or 2-week sessions where they spend their days sailing, water-skiing, sports, horseback riding, hiking, and making new friends.

This unique and enriching student experience is thanks to our longstanding partnership with Camp Tockwogh, who generously help facilitate our nearly 20-year partnership.

“Tockwogh was founded on the premise of bringing kids out of the city to explore nature, and I think there’s something profound about being outdoors, riding a horse, shooting a bow, or sailing a boat,” explains Tockwogh Executive Director, Elizabeth Staib-King. “If I could fill the entire camp with kids from Cornerstone, I’d be happy.”

Trips to Tockwogh represent just another example of how summer at Cornerstone is an active and inspiring experience for our students.

“My time at Cornerstone was amazing and I developed a lot as a person. I plan on putting myself out there as much as I can during my four years of high school. I understand you can’t get these years back, so I feel like you have to step outside the box, learn new things, and not be scared of new experiences. I feel confident in myself and my future.” - Nayla W., Class of 2026

[Part 3 of 3]

“My teachers worked with me every day and held me accountable. They helped me lock in and they were committed to me and my classmates. They helped me make the Honor Roll and now I can’t wait to start high school in the fall.“ - Ayden P., Class of 2026

[Part 2 of 3]

Just like this Class of 2026, our students routinely graduate with honors and go on to the best high schools in the region. Cornerstone’s community of support that includes parents, teachers, advisors, and school staff work diligently and with love to ensure each student realizes their true potential throughout their K-8 journey.

That is why graduation is such a moment of pride for our outgoing 8th graders, not only because they are prepared for the next chapter, but because they know they put forth their best effort each and every day.

Congratulations to the Class of 2026 for your achievements, and for the hard work, faith, and self-confidence you have displayed along the way.

“I am very thankful for the time and wisdom that Cornerstone staff and faculty have instilled in us. They are one of the many reasons that we will be able to achieve our goals, and we will never forget what they have done for us.” - Khloe J., Class of 2026 Valedictorian

[Part 1 of 3]

Join us in congratulating the amazing members of the Cornerstone Class of 2026! 🎓

Pride does not fully capture the feeling we have for these incredible students. Their hard work, faith, and dedication are a reflection of their character and talent, and a testament to the faculty, staff, family members, and supporters who have guided and uplifted them along the way.

As they say goodbye to Cornerstone, the next step in their academic journey will take them to the best high schools in the city and region. Along with their families and loved ones, we wish them good luck, blessings, and continued success.

Because these are Cornerstone students, we know they are prepared to succeed and thrive socially and academically. We can’t wait to hear and share the awe-inspiring achievements that no doubt lie in their future.

Stay tuned this week to meet the rest of this inspiring class of future leaders.
