Our ‘Commoning the Programme 2’ cohort will next get to experience a workshop with Tina Morris.

Tina Morris is the Director of Hastings based Placemaking Agency, Sweet and Dandy which has been successfully helping transform public spaces with the local community for 11 years now.

Sweet and Dandy curates and manages the Coastal Currents Arts Festival, an annual arts festival for East Sussex every September which promotes the uniqueness of his creative coastline through performance, public participation and high quality programming alongside an open studios programme with more than 130 spaces to visit and interact with artists.

A sister project of Coastal Currents, created to support the music aspect of our creative coast, Audiotrope was launched in 2020 and runs alongside the festival to support young and early career musicians with mentoring, content creation and digital assets.

Tina also is Co-Chair of 1066 Music City, an collaborative group of industry professionals who work together to support the local music industry.

A social entrepreneur with experience across the Care and Culture fields, all projects have a shared theme of supporting communities to thrive, providing skills and platforms for creatives, free access for all and projects grown from the ground-up enabling individuals to have pride in their place.

In this workshop…
We will look at all angles of getting your work seen, from the intricate side of creating digital assets to thinking big when presenting your work. Who are your audiences and how to access and engage them.

Tina will talk about her experiences with presenting and publicising digital projects and take participants through points to consider now, which will help shape future briefs.

Thank you so so much to all the incredible performers last night! It was such a soulful, magical, good vibrations event because of you guys.

@_poppyprescott you were sensational and kicked off the night just right!

@celestehartley I couldn’t have wished for a better person to put all the thoughts in my head about the world and the importance of taking time, love oh and your dishwasher!

Francesco Bernardini I wish you were on Instagram so I could tag you are you are a genius on the hand pan and had everyone so focused and in the vibe you could hear a pin drop.

Neil Grove the same, wish I could tag you so you could get all the adoration you deserve! I wish you could just follow me around and be the soundtrack of my life!
#blueslove

@manifaestations You know I’ve always loved what you do. So unique, so transcendental and just what I imagined to turn the Stade into a mermaids heaven!

Oh @iyamah_artist thank you so much for travelling down and making everyone fall in love with your voice! Wow! Late night perfection and a wonderful way to finish the evening!

You were all stars and created an evening of such quality it also was so joyful to see the Stade back to life with music after dark!

Loved it all and so did everyone who attended.

Thanks to the Coastal Currents team who have worked with me for 14 years now. We are tiny and seasonal but boy do we have fun each time.

Always a different venue and different challenges so thanks to @eatatcafe for being such laid back hosts and adding to the consciously chill vibe of 2025.

Peace ☮️
Love ❤️

Let’s do it all again next year

Thanks to @hooglytea for sponsoring the goodie bags and @lovehastingsbid for everything else!

Come on everyone! Ignore the rain! We are all doing sun dances here so don’t let that stop you coming out tonight!

In a year with no ACE funding some would say we are mad to put on a free party with free fizz but we have always been known for bringing the accessible free public art to the area so why stop now! Come show support for the 26th Coastal Currents with your presence!

From 7pm @eatatcafe

@_poppyprescott
Francesco Bernardini
Neil Grove
@manifaestations

And beautiful words from @celestehartley

All welcome
