Sometimes you have to step away from everything and everybody to give your self time to prepare for your next chapter in life. I had to realize that the only person that is in charge of this ride is GOD.. I had been trying to fight battles myself by thinking that I knew the lane to drive in. I fought so hard for others problems and situations that I lost myself in the mix with a job that I don’t own. I had to realize I can’t change people.. I have experience so much growth in my life that sometimes it amazes me the person that I have grown into. Knowledge is the 🔑to a stress free life. I have learned to allow people to think what that want and protect my mental health at all cost. People will try to drain you but when you protect yourself they don’t know how to handle that. Thank you god for giving this life of protection and prosperity 💯💪🏽🙏🏾 to my younger self you made it past 50 with a wealth of lessons and knowledge that’s worth more than any amount of money!! #selflove #hairstylist by @cccole30

Why I do what I do. 👇🏾❤️In 2018, I lost touch with my beautiful weekly client, Mrs. Sandra, after she fell sick. I lost her number and always wondered how she was.Two days ago, a local Instagram chat reconnected us after her daughter looked for a local Black stylist. I had no idea who booked the appointment until Mrs. Sandra walked through my door.Seeing her health struggles, I wanted to return all the love she gave me for years. I donated the hair and did her sew-in for free. She hasn't wanted to go out in forever, but after her appointment, she’s been out celebrating with family two days in a row!This is my purpose: to give people their light back and cherish them.
