4A Coach of the Year- Becky Erickson, Crimson Cliffs High School
As a lifelong cheerleader herself, Becky Erickson has spent almost 20 years mastering her coaching career, both with private gyms and at the high school level. While her
legacy includes five state champion titles, her influence stretches far beyond the mat. Many of her former athletes have moved on to compete at the collegiate level, including
her own daughters, one of whom is currently competing on the first professional cheer team.
Becky takes immense pride in teaching her athletes that cheer is about so much more than just a routine—it’s about character and life lessons. She knows they will take the discipline they learn in the gym with them long after they graduate. She feels honored to spend every day with her team and knows she couldn’t do it alone. Becky would like to thank her husband and family for their unwavering support, along with her assistant
coaches, the Crimson Cliffs administration, and her dedicated athletes and parents.
For Becky, being named Coach of the Year is an honor she shares with every athlete she has mentored. To her, the greatest reward has never been the titles, but the
privilege of witnessing her athlete’s growth, resilience, and success both on and off the mat.
Congratulations Becky Erickson, 4A Coach of the Year! by @cchsmustangcheer
