It was another fun Sunday with our @cci__celebkids & @cci_celebteens! 🥳❤️

Our younger ones learnt about Jesus, God’s Gift to the World. 🎁 They were reminded that God loves everyone so much that He gave us His Son, Jesus, to show us His love and save us. ❤️

Our older ones explored Giving to People and learnt that because God has given so generously to us, we should show that same love to others. Whether it’s helping someone in need, honouring our parents or sharing with those around us, real love is shown through our actions, not just our words. 🫶🏽

From learning about God’s greatest gift to discovering how we can be a gift to others, our children are growing in faith and learning to live out God’s love every day! 🥰🙌🏽

Pastor @tobechukwuyvonne continued teaching on “For Such a Time as This,” helping us understand how to identify the burdens God may be calling us to respond to.

Like Esther and Nehemiah, we must learn to recognise what is happening around us, understand our position and take responsibility for the change we can make. But how do we know which burden to focus on? 🤔

Here are five questions to ask yourself when prioritizing a burden:

1️⃣ Does this concern connect with biblical values? ❤️
Does it relate to love, justice, compassion or other values in God’s Word? This helps you examine whether the burden aligns with God’s heart.

2️⃣ Have I taken the time to understand what is happening? 👀
Before rushing to act, understand the situation, the people involved and the real problem. This helps you respond with wisdom rather than assumptions.

3️⃣ Am I willing to pray and seek God’s counsel concerning this burden? 🙏🏽
Take the concern to God. This helps you seek His wisdom, direction and timing before deciding how to respond.

4️⃣ Am I prepared to serve faithfully even if I don’t get the glory? 🤝
Not every act of service will be recognised or celebrated. This helps you examine your motives and whether you are willing to serve for the right reasons.

5️⃣ What is within my responsibility and ability to influence? 🌍
You may not be able to solve every problem, but you can make a difference where God has placed you. This helps you identify your part and focus your efforts where you can have an impact.

Esther had to recognise her position as queen, and Nehemiah had to respond to the condition of Jerusalem. Both understood that their positions came with responsibility.

The question is not just what burdens you, but what you are willing to do about it. 🔥

In today’s service, Pastor @tobechukwuyvonne taught on “For Such a Time as This,” using the stories of Esther and Nehemiah to remind us that God can position us for a purpose far greater than ourselves. 🙌🏽

Esther was an orphan in a foreign land, and Nehemiah was serving in the king’s palace. Neither situation seemed connected to the bigger picture, yet God would use their positions to bring about change and deliverance. Their stories remind us that God is working even when we cannot see the full picture. ❤️

Pastor @tobechukwuyvonne shared five key lessons:

1️⃣ God is working behind the scenes.
What we are going through today may be part of a bigger plan. Our current experience may be preparing us for something greater.

2️⃣ Understand the times.
Like Nehemiah, we must pay attention to what is happening around us and recognise the needs, suffering and injustice that require our response.

3️⃣ Recognise your position.
Where God has placed you matters. Your influence, opportunities and responsibilities can become tools for meaningful change.

4️⃣ Seek God’s face, pray and plan.
Esther and Nehemiah did not act carelessly. They sought wisdom, approached situations strategically and gathered the support they needed.

5️⃣ Be willing to take action.
Prayer and planning must lead to action. Like Esther and Nehemiah, we must be willing to step forward and do our part.

You may be where you are for a reason. The question is: Will you recognise your moment and respond to the call? 🔥🌍

There are moments when the burden you carry is bigger than your personal concerns. When what troubles you and what you cannot ignore may be connected to an assignment that requires your response.

This Sunday, we’re exploring what it means to carry a burden for such a time as this. To recognise what requires our attention, understand our place in God’s purpose, and have the courage to act when the moment calls for it.
