✝️How Do We Pray for Kingdom Purposes?
He gave us a practical framework:

1️⃣ Recognize the Father. Begin with worship and fellowship. Extol the name of God before bringing your requests.
 2️⃣ Receive His priorities. Don’t turn every personal preference into a divine promise. 3️⃣ Bring a specific request.
 4️⃣ Request His intervention.
 5️⃣ Respond in obedience. Ask what faithful actions lie within your own responsibility.

✝️What Should Change in Your Prayer Life?
He concluded with four practical shifts every believer should make:
📌 Pray for people, not just for things. 📌 Pray for the places where God has positioned you. You don’t need an altar or a pulpit to represent Christ. 📌 Pray with scripture-shaped confidence. 📌 Let your prayer lead to faithful action.

Finally, PEO closed by reminding us that prayer was never designed to be a last resort or a personal wish list. It is a kingdom responsibility, a place of fellowship, and a legislative act in the hands of every believer. Esther didn’t pray because she had no options. She prayed because she understood what was actually at stake.
We are not of this world. But we have been sent into it. And the way we show up in it, in prayer and in action, matters more than we know.

📌Relationship with God
He then took us deeper into how we approach God in prayer. Prayer is first about relationship, and that relationship changes everything about how we come to Him (Luke 11:1, Matthew 6:9, Romans 8:14).
He was clear: we don’t approach God as strangers trying to get an audience. If you see God as a spiritual vending machine, you’ll treat your relationship with Him like a transaction. But His fatherhood doesn’t cancel His authority, and His authority does not cancel our access. Both are true at the same time.
He also reminded us that in the kingdom, we are called to pray beyond our own needs (Luke 11:2-4). God wants our needs met, but that is not the entirety of prayer (2 Corinthians 5:20, Acts 4:29-31). Prayer is the place for koinonia, genuine fellowship with God.

✝️Intercession and Kingdom Responsibility
He walked us into intercession and explained that it raises the question of authority. When we intercede, we are appealing to the character of God, calling on His mercy on behalf of people who are suffering. Intercession, he noted, combines persistence and humility. Both at the same time.

✝️Redefining Prayer

PEO took time to correct something quietly embedded in many of our prayer lives. Prayer is not what we do when we don’t know what else to do. It is an active part of our work and influence.
He also pointed out that the problem is not that we ask God for things. The problem is when asking for ourselves is the only thing we know how to do in prayer. If prayer only shows up in emergencies, he noted, then the absence of a crisis becomes the absence of a reason to pray. Prayer, he reminded us, includes fellowship with God, confession, surrender, and intercession for others.

✝️Prayer as Legislation and Civic Responsibility

He was direct from the start: we must pray. But not the kind of prayer that is an escape from responsibility. Prayer, he explained, plays a legislative role in the kingdom we belong to.
He pointed us to Nehemiah 4:9 and Jeremiah 29:7, showing that prayer and civic responsibility go hand in hand. He also drew our attention to Esther, who was inside the palace with access and position, and still chose to pray (Esther 4:16). Her beauty and her title were not enough. She knew that what she was up against required more than what she could see.

Midweek service continued the ECCLESIA series and Pastor Emmanuel Olaniran focused on the theme Family,Kingdom, Courtroom:

He opened by grounding us in a reality we sometimes forget. We gather to be equipped. We are not of this world, even though we have been sent into it. And the world, he reminded us, is deeper than what we see physically or socially. Ephesians 6:12 makes it clear that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, which means we cannot afford to be limited to only physical efforts.
