“What do we want to grow now?” Yazmin García’s Solo Series exhibition, “Para Las Hijas Mayores,” celebrated the unique experiences of eldest daughters, the healing that often is required because of those experiences, and what we dream to create from the ashes of the healing. Inkwell Poetry is excited to announce our November mentor Danez Smith and their workshop “Poems as Time Machines.” Since the beginning of time we’ve been obsessed with time. How does it move? How are we held within it? How can we move in and out of it? In this workshop we’ll read a sampling of poets going forward, backwards, and deeper into time before designing our own machines (hint: its poems) that will move us across the timeline to discover what waits for us and our ambitions if we dive into the stream and let it carry us further into our imaginations. All ages and skill levels welcome! This two-hour workshop will include a discussion led by our poet mentor, prompts with time to write, opportunities for participants to share their work and ask questions. Date: Saturday, November 21, 2026 Time: 10:00am-12:00pm PST Place: Cisco Webex https://tinyurl.com/InkwellNov26 by @ccpublicarts

Clark County Public Arts Office invites the public to interact with Forever in Our Hearts, a temporary interactive art installation that will be located in the ofrenda area of the Life in Death Festival at the Winchester-Dondero Cultural Center from November 1 to 2, 4 p.m to 9 p.m. Local artist Stefano Kajatt created the public interactive art installation that creates a shared space for honoring the people and animals people love. A guest scans a QR code, uploads a photo with their phone and watches their tribute appear in real time on a sculpture heart through projection, light, and music. Forever in our Hearts (FIOH) was born from a personal experience inside the Burning Man, where hundreds of people leave photos of those they have lost before it burns. That act of collective, witnessed grief was the most honest thing its creator had ever felt. FIOH is an effort to make that experience permanent, portable, and open to anyone. Stefano Kajatt (Aplete) is a Las Vegas based multidisciplinary artist, musician and installation builder, born in Asuncion, Paraguay to Peruvian parents. For over two decades he has explored his creativity through playing bass, drawing, ceramics, painting, recording and composing music and large-scale art installation. Forever In Our Hearts is his first public art installation, created under One Sky Ally LLC. by @ccpublicarts
Celebrating the ongoing redevelopment of Chinatown in Las #Vegas. Along with the @rtcsnv, Commissioner @justinjonesnv and Clark County unveiled a custom-designed double-decker bus designed to drive tourism into the area. There’s also been an ambitious art initiative to paint murals and utility boxes in Chinatown. Our Community and Economic Development Department and Redevelopment Agency are in the midst of a big revitalization of the Chinatown Corridor. The Spring Mountain initiative, part of the Inspiring Spring Mountain Redevelopment Plan is working to renovate the area’s infrastructure, bring in new business, promote Asian culture and our vibrant Southern Nevada Asian population. A lot of great things are happening in Chinatown with more in the works. Check it out! by @ccpublicarts
