The National Site Awards 2026 has truly been one for the books. From Manchester and Edinburgh to Dublin and London, we brought the industry together to celebrate the commitment, ambition and high standards being demonstrated on construction sites across the UK and Ireland.

“A landmark building where people are finding solutions for the future.”

As part of Open Doors Week, @macegroup welcomed learners from @constructionskillspeople onto the @uclqsion site.

John Llamas and the team shared how this project will bring together research, treatment and collaboration all under one roof, helping to tackle diseases like dementia through shared ideas and innovation.

With site walks across multiple floors, conversations with the project team and opportunities to connect with the supply chain, the visit gave learners a real insight into live project environments and the range of careers across the sector.

A valuable chance to see what’s possible and where their skills could take them.

“It’s a legacy project, one that will bring so much to so many.”

During our Open Doors Week visit to @greatormondst, John Sisk & Son welcomed students onto site to showcase the Children’s Cancer Centre project.

From early groundwork stages to the complexity of delivering a project of this scale, students gained real insight into how it all comes together - through presentations, site views and hands-on activities with the team.

A valuable opportunity to understand not just the build, but the impact it will have for years to come!

Supporting the next generation of construction talent takes consistency, guidance and real opportunity. 💡

The @seriousaboutyouth (SAY) Construkt programme gives young people hands-on experience across the full lifecycle of a construction project, from design through to build.

More than just a workshop, it’s ongoing support into apprenticeships, education and employment helps to turn early interest into real careers.

We were genuinely impressed by the confidence, curiosity and ambition coming through from the young people taking part!

Great to see @morgansindallconstruction, @lovell_homes, @etecgroup and SAY supporting the next generation and opening doors into the industry.

💡 Not everyone in construction starts out knowing exactly what role they’ll end up in...

Megan Ryan, Design Manager at @morgansindallconstruction, studied Interior Architecture and Design before joining the industry during her placement year.

It was there she discovered design management!

Now working on the refurbishment of 17 Columbus Court in Canary Wharf, Meg loves seeing every part of a project come together, from early concepts right through to handover.

A great reminder that construction offers more career paths than many people realise!
