Dance history in motion! 💙 In DAN 299, students observed duets from Dance Theatre of Harlem and works by Martha Graham, then worked with partners to build original movement phrases exploring line, weight, and intention.

Connecting what we observe to what we create. ✨

An ensemble of her own! 💙🎥

CCSU alumna Olivia Carlson (@therealoliviacarlson) brings choreography by fellow alumnus James Marino to life with a creative twist. Through imaginative video editing and thoughtfully curated visuals, Olivia brings multiple versions of herself together on screen; dancing side by side as her own ensemble!

Combining movement, visual storytelling, and digital creativity, she turns a solo performance into a shared dance experience. We’re proud to celebrate the artistry and imagination of our Central alumni! ✨

Future dance and physical educators in action! 💙

Today in DAN 110: Introduction to Dance Education, students led mini lessons, guiding their classmates through movement and putting their teaching ideas into practice. Each lesson was an opportunity to practice clear instruction, explore creativity, and learn from one another.

Proud to see our students developing their confidence and finding their voices as educators! 👏
