I am so far beyond pretending that any of this is normal.

I refuse to become so desensitized to injustice that I stop being outraged by it.

In a world where women are constantly expected to explain, justify and defend their own experiences…watching a man willingly confront his own internalized beliefs and then go one step further and share that —with me of all people— gives me hope.

THIS is what dismantling patriarchy looks like.

Not perfection or performative allyship. But having the humility to recognize that maybe, just MAYBE, your discomfort is an invitation to examine something within yourself….And then ACTUALLY doing the work.

To the men who genuinely want to be allies: THIS is where you start. And then you take what you’ve learned and put it into ACTION.

Imagine how different our world could be if more men approached these conversations with curiosity instead of defensiveness.

We have reached a point where the federal government is trying to STRIP A DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED MEMBER OF CONGRESS OF HER CITIZENSHIP AND DEPORT HER.

And over WHAT? Decades old allegations involving immigration paperwork from when she was a CHILD???

How many times are we going to recycle the same accusations and pretend that an ALLEGATION is somehow equivalent to a CONVICTION???

You want to investigate a crime? PRESENT THE FCKING EVIDENCE. BUT YOU CAN’T. BECAUSE THERE IS NONE.

And DON’T piss on my leg and tell me it’s raining while expecting me to ignore the implications of a ‘president’ using the machinery of the federal government against one of his most outspoken political opponents.

AND FOR FCKKKS SAKE, THIS IS A SITTING MEMBER OF THE UNITED STATES CONGRESS.

Your water. Your roads. Your schools. Your healthcare. Your housing.

Every single one of these things is shaped by political decisions, public policy and where our tax dollars go.

You don’t have to care about politics for politics to have a direct impact on your quality of life.

Political apathy is a privilege. The consequences are collective.

Apparently, calling women wh*res is comedy now. Somebody alert the fcking Academy. 🏆

While women are fighting to be heard, believed and protected, we’re handing microphones and national television airtime to men whose idea of a punchline is degrading us.

Look at what’s happening with the allegations at Cornell. Look at what Kendall Francis has reported about her experience at LSU.

And then tell me why we’re still pretending casual misogyny is harmless.

No, a misogynistic joke isn’t the same as shexxuall a$$ault. But the culture that normalizes contempt for women deserves to be called the fck out.

I’m tired of being told to laugh. I’m tired of being told we’re too sensitive. And I’m especially tired of mediocre men confusing disrespect with comedic talent.

MISOGYNY ISN’T COMEDY. AND WOMEN AREN’T YOUR FCKING PUNCHLINE.
