On Episode 9 of Striving for a Healthier You | Then & Now with Crystal, I’m joined by Dr. Coretta Collins, FNP-C, a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who serves patients with cancer and blood conditions at UAB. With nearly 20 years of nursing experience in oncology, primary care, and women’s health, Dr. Collins brings a wealth of knowledge and compassion to this important conversation.

She is the founder of the Busy Bee Writing Retreat and uses her voice through writing and speaking to make health and wellness conversations practical and engaging.

This episode is a reminder that being cancer aware means more than knowing the signs it means knowing your body, asking questions, getting screened, seeking support, and taking care of your mental health along the way.
