💫 Walking into the weekend with #nofilter looking rested AF! This is a perfect example of proper patient selection when it comes to aesthetic procedures. These procedures are not “one size fits all”! This patient was a perfect candidate for under eye filler because she had some hollowness and beautiful skin texture with minimal laxity. I’m always honest about what I think will and won’t work for my patients. 10 years of experience has taught me to be confident in my treatment plan.

Patients who aren’t ideal candidates for this procedure are those who:
• Want to fix under eye wrinkles
• Have significant skin laxity or puffiness
• Have superficial hyperpigmentation

This patient had a bad scar from a Mohs surgery performed over a year ago. I treated her with 3 sessions of IPL to improve the pigment she had but you can see here that the texture improved dramatically as well. It’s that time of year! ⚡️ IPL is still one of my all time favorite ways to treat sun damage and red vessels. Added bonus: it also heats up the tissue to promote collagen production. This patient above had 2 follow up treatments after these photos were taken to clear up all of her remaining redness but most patients only need 1-2 treatments for best results! I treat my own face and chest (don’t forget the chest!) twice a year (in the fall and again in the spring) to get rid of any brown spots that appear in the sun and as part of my anti-aging routine. Prevention is key! I feel like so many of us focus on treating damage that has already been done which is important but it’s even more important to schedule maintenance treatments like this even if we don’t have much visible sun damage to keep our skin looking fresh and youthful. After a certain age if you’re not building collagen - you’re losing it! Don’t wait for the damage - add this to your list of yearly preventative treatments.
