“We’re Just Human”

I grow tired of a tiny world with giant thoughts
Music helps expand what we see
We refocus our attention
A pilgrimage I’ve loved for a decade
Fate at every turn
The right person on the right day
The right exit on the wrong interstate
A McDonalds, no soda, no cash
The twilight zone is part of the adventure

The community of a crowd
All lost, here, together, found
Hazel from South Carolina
The best person I’ll never see again
But we had a home on that Buckhead floor
Comforting Cori, protecting each other
Making new inside jokes only we’ll know forever

I get home and my bracelets scar my wrists
Except the 2: one traded for flower food and one as thanks for years of memories and music
I was there. My world was full.
I remember, in any moment, the kindness in the world
We’re all in this together, “this” changing all the time

To care is to love is to commune, after all,
We’re just human

There’s so much love in the world
Always remember to pay it forward
I’m gonna be a better human if I can! by @cdf318

“Bus Stop”

A room full of strangers
Becomes a fool’s paradise
As love forces a voice from the restless
And joy from the desperate

A room like any other
But for the dreams we paint with minds
After the embers burn
The cool of the night stays

And the hearts we found along the way

Giving up something of themselves
Is the gift men are afraid to make
Kept in their bosoms forever
Knowing not love, but only it’s facsimiles

We are our characters in their lives
Our love, the story
And in the tale of it all

🎱 welcome to the new deja vu ✨ I can’t forget your style or your cynicism, somehow it was like you were the first to listen 🫧 love is in the air, I just gotta figure out a window to break out 🐚

If you guys couldn’t tell, I’m a massive Fall Out Boy fan. They’ve always lingered in the background for me, but over the last few months they’ve dominated my mind. They’ve dug me out of holes. They’ve expanded my capacity to feel and to understand in a way no artist has before. They’ve brought to me to new people I value more than words can express. The headphones delivered me the words I couldn’t say, and fixed me in 45. I love those guys. Fall Out Boy, forever.

“When you least expect it, you will meet someone who will change your life; let the pain remind you hearts can heal” 🪳

Locust, you are beautiful. You were a lesson of love, in self realization, in friendship, and in heart. And you will live on forever in the souls you’ve touched and the nails you’ve left painted. ❤️ taken in Acrosstown Repertory Theatre by @cdf318
