It’s really surreal when you see your name/work on a legal document. This is a very proud moment for me. I, Chase D. Garrett, started and created my own business at 18 years old in August of 2017. With extensive research and hard work, I have learned how to file an LLC, Trademark, and construct a business/marketing plan all on my OWN! Everything I wanted to learn, I went out and SEARCHED for it, took notes, and EXECUTED! A lot of times in life people want help without putting in the extra effort into going out and seeking additional information on their own. Do not rely on anyone to give you all of the answers! When you want something bad enough in life, you will do whatever it takes obtain it! Do not let anyone tell you that you “can’t” do it, or it’s “impossible” to do, or it will “never” happen because YOU CAN! No matter what age you are, ethnic background, academic status, and etc... YOU CAN MANIFEST ANYTHING YOU WANT INTO YOUR LIFE! This is only the beginning of my entrepreneurship journey and I have a long road ahead of me but I am hungry enough to reap the benefits of all the hard work I put in. A solid starting profile should minimally consist of: 💳 2+ open primary major credit cards (Amex, Discover, Capital One, Chase, etc.) 📈 1 short-term loan (less than 36 months) 🏦 1 long-term loan (36+ months) That gives you 4 open primary accounts across different types of credit. But here’s where people get it wrong 👇🏽 You don’t need $20,000 credit limits to start. You don’t need to wait until your credit is “perfect.” And you don’t need to finish repairing your credit before you start rebuilding. REPAIR + REBUILD = RESULTS. While you’re tackling inaccurate or negative information, you should also be creating new positive credit history. And once you have revolving credit, utilization matters. Your reported balances can have a significant impact on your score from month to month, which is why learning how to manage your credit cards strategically is so important—especially before applying for major financing.
