Yesterday January 31. We celebrated the life of my dad! He’s been gone now 8 years. This year for the first time it cane with peace. Dont get me wrong i miss terribly. But through these last 8 years of not having him a phone call away. i ponder on How lucky i was to have such phenomenal parents . Who became are friend. Such incredible memories I have growing up with —them as my parents. As an adult the great memories became ten folds. So much laughter, insight, and love.
God sure took care of us, what a gift from him by @cdhibson

29 years ago. this beautifully lady came into the world! It was in my top 2 most wonderful moments in my life. when i first held her in my arms, the world felt perfect and i felt totally complete. Each year my daughter has given and brought incredible moments to love into my life. Watching her grow into the incredible daughter, woman and mother has be nothing sheer joy.

There’s nothing more amazing, incredible and precious then having (for me) a daughter and father relationship. Do you ever ask yourself, what thought your dad’s legancy was?
Today being Fathers dad, i ask myself that question.
The first thing that popped into my mind was not his success in his job or that he was a fantastic provider or about all the materials things he showered me with.
This is my answer to what i think his legacy is:
1. Every Sat. night from the time I was 7 “Steak night”
2. Baking the family Thanksgiving pie together (since i was 12)
3. His favorite holiday (Thanksgiving)
4. The conversation and laughter when we were all togather.
5. When he found out how devastated i was when i didnt make the cheerleading squad and he just hug me.
6. Raving over the dinners i made for him.
7. Finding out what a magnificent writer he was When i was going through his things after he die and read some of his speeches he wrote.
8. The look on peoples faces when i took his hand when we were out in public. (it was hilarious)
9. hearing him tell me “beanie i love you or im so poud of you, your beautiful Charlene” and hearing him brag about me to his friends about my achievements.
This to me was his legacy,
