Public Service Announcement

As the golf season quickly approaches, this a friendly reminder to keep your 👄 off other 🏌‍♂️🏐's

A friendly reminder to myself.

Last week hurt. Missing my goal of the year by one single stroke is a tough pill to swallow. It’s so easy to let your mind replay the tape—the missed four-footer, the birdies that lipped out, getting backed off the ball 3x on the 18th tee when you need a par because theres a road running across the 18th fairway lol or just the shots that got away in the first 6 holes.

Tournament golf is a lonely game. There are no teammates to pass the ball to when you're having an off day. That competitive weight can easily strip away the casual fun of the sport. Coming from a team sports background, adjusting to that isolation has been a massive mental shift, but chasing this competitive fire again is exactly why I fell in love with tournament golf.

Walking the course alone has only highlighted the people standing in my corner. This week reminded me that while you play this game alone, having a strong support system is the 🔑
to success.

So grateful for the club members who know and have shown so much love. Most of all, my family’s unwavering support has been my absolute anchor through this entire adventure.

We'll learn from and most importantly got right back to work 🙏🏼

What's your go to when you know you found the fairway? by @cdraf15

@cobblebeach. Six moments worth sharing. (1/6)

Accommodations

Home base for the trip. One of five cottages tucked just north of the Clubhouse, with Georgian Bay stretched out right outside the window. Two bedrooms, a fireplace, a stocked wet bar — this is where the round ended and the stories started. Best seat in the house after 18.

Breakfast at the Sweetwater Restaurant

Fuel for the round. Breakfast at Sweetwater Restaurant in the Clubhouse — eggs benny, a classic plate, or something off the griddle before heading to the first tee. Five-star kitchen, small-town morning, big day ahead.

@cobblebeach. Six moments worth sharing. (3/6)

Practice Area

No shortcuts before a round like this. A range and putting green built to match the course — dial in your swing, find your speed on the greens, then go test it for real. Preparation looks good here.

@cobblebeach. Six moments worth sharing. (4/6)

Wellness

Recovery mode. Sauna, steam room, hot tub, and a plunge pool overlooking the water — everything you need to reset after 18 holes. Heat, cold, and a view of Georgian Bay to talk it all over.

@cobblebeach. Six moments worth sharing. (5/6)

Georgian Bay Day Dock

Arrive by land or by water. The Georgian Bay Day Dock lets boaters tie up for the day and get shuttled straight to the Clubhouse — golf, tennis, or dinner at Sweetwater, all just steps from the water. Another way this place does things right.

Post-Round Massage

The last stop. A post-round massage at The Spa — hot stones, lymphatic drainage, and relaxation techniques built to ease sore muscles and reduce inflammation after 18 holes. Full access to the steam room, sauna, and hot tub before and after made it the perfect way to close out the trip. by @cdraf15

A Doug Carrick Design on the cliff tops over looking Georgian Bay, Cobble Beach is a special place.

From the iconic views that makes you feel like you're hitting your tee shots into the Bay to the 5 star accommodations.

If you haven't been, its definitely one thats worth checking off your bucket list.

A bad day at the golf course is better than a good day at the office.

So I made my office the golf course.

Nothing better than finishing a loop, then running into some members and they ask you if you want to join them for a twilight 18.

It would be rude to say no right!?

Sometimes you get good bounces, sometimes you get bad ones. Either way you have to play it how it lies.

Meaning you have to except the bad bounces as much as we except the good ones. You cannot change the past, so you must deal with your current situation and move forward.

Public golf is a very different kinda of golf, especially when you join a 3 ball as a single. Sometimes I find myself going thru the motions because the people I'm playing with aren't really paying attention to your game. Walking thru ur lines, starting a conversation when you're standing over the ball. So instead of getting frustrated and being like "whatever" I'm trying to use these opportunities to stay locked in and not let what their doing effect what I'm trying to do.
