Farewell, Queens University
(Almost…)

I came to Queens searching for growth—a new chapter where I could challenge myself, compete, and take one step closer to the man I’m becoming. I didn’t know exactly what the journey would look like, but I was ready to embrace it. And by the grace of God, I’m still running.

As I reflect on this experience, it’s clear that what made Queens special wasn’t just the school itself—it was the people.

To the students—thank you for your energy, your kindness, and the day-to-day moments that made life on campus feel real and meaningful. You reminded me that connection matters most.

To the staff—thank you for your support and guidance. Whether it was academic, personal, or just a word of encouragement when I needed it, you helped me throughout this journey.

To the coaches—thank you for believing in me, pushing me, and helping me grow both as an athlete and as a person. Every challenge taught me something. Every lesson shaped me. I’m grateful for the role each of you played in this chapter of my life.

And to my teammates… this is where my heart is. You’ve been my family through it all. We’ve trained, traveled, laughed, struggled, and triumphed together. The bond we’ve built is something I’ll carry with me for life. You were the reason I showed up with purpose…. EVERY SINGLE DAY. 🙏🏽❤️

No, it wasn’t always easy. But nothing worth having ever is. I may not have gotten everything I came for—but what I gained was more than I could’ve asked for: resilience, relationships, growth, and a deeper trust in God’s plan. 🙏🏽❤️

I’ve got one last race to run for Queens—and I’m giving it everything I have.

Thank you, Queens. I’ll always remember the people who made this place feel like more than just a stop on my path.

All the posts are complete .. 3/3 done —This one’s for me…And for my dad.

Two degrees richer—physically, mentally, and spiritually.

The journey hasn’t been easy. There were moments I questioned if I had enough, moments I wanted to quit, moments where the weight felt too heavy. But I kept going. I kept pushing. And I did it with my father’s spirit in my heart every step of the way.

Every late night, every setback, every quiet victory—I carried him with me. And now, I walk across this finish line with two degrees, not just as a student, but as a son, a man, and a legacy in motion.

This isn’t just a celebration—it’s a promise. To continue becoming the man I know he’d be proud of. @t0b_4 This one hit home brother . ❤️🗣️

Man… this is a bittersweet moment .. but as I officially close the chapter on my college journey, I find myself reflecting on where it all truly began — Catawba College.

It’s impossible to put into words how much Catawba means to me. It wasn’t just a place where I went to school — it was a home, a family, a foundation. It was the start of some of the most exciting, challenging, and unforgettable years of my life.

To my friends, my teammates, my professors, my coaches, and the staff — thank you. Every one of you helped shape my journey. You believed in me when I was still learning to believe in myself. You pushed me to grow, supported me through every struggle, and celebrated every small victory.

Catawba was where I found my love for competition at a higher level. Being part of the track family taught me discipline, perseverance, and heart. The countless hours spent on the track, the early mornings, the long bus rides, the memories of pushing each other to be better — those moments made me stronger, not just as an athlete, but as a person.

I’ll never forget the late nights on campus, the laughs shared with teammates, the professors who went the extra mile, and the simple moments that turned into lifelong memories.

I can never fully repay what this school and this community gave me — but I promise to carry it with me wherever I go. Catawba will forever be a part of my heart, and so will the people and the memories that made it so special.

Thank you, Catawba, for being my beginning. Thank you for being my family when I needed one, my foundation when I was finding my footing, and my launchpad toward dreams I’m still chasing. I’ll carry you with me, always. ✍🏾🎓💫
