“Honey Trap “ [Oils on canvas . 91cm by 163cm] .A woman tightly embraces the dreamy beautiful prince after saying a heartfelt yes to his proposal of marriage . However, he hides an ulterior motive that is anything but romantic . Under closer inspection,looking over his beehive armour , crown of precious gems, sweet honey skin , his hair of Dahlias & lavender, you’ll find murder hornets hiding in plain sight out to get this lady too hypnotized by love.He is a fraud , he is a honey trap. Been tinkering on this piece for THREE YEARS . I suppose it’ll take a little longer til I feel what should be that normal sigh of relief after finally closing this 3 year chapter.Anyway , expect more on “Honey Trap” for more justice on its painterly detail and meaning behind this story piece . by @cdsj_art

I just received these superb shots by @toivj ( thank you🙏🏽) of my “Fluent in Snakish” wall at @ruafestival .The piece is inspired by an Estonian fable entitled , “ The man who spoke Snakish “ by Andrus Kivirähk , where a boy learns to speak to snakes , control animals and is tasked to preserve the ancient ways. I would like to thank RUA again as well as the lovely owners of this wall , Ann & Jan, for their kindness and hospitality . Great times. ❤️ by @cdsj_art

His style leans toward realism with subtle undertones of a cartoonist. Sometimes quirky & playful, sometimes serious in themes, but often something hidden in plain sight.
