Sustainability is not a tagline for us. It is built into how we work, every day.

Our 2025 Sustainability Impact Report sets out what that looks like across five pillars: customers, environment, partnerships, team and governance.

It starts with our own team. In 2025 we launched Aspire, our development programme for emerging talent, building the confidence, communication and influencing skills to speak up earlier, handle difficult conversations and contribute ideas.

Together with a leadership programme for our line managers, it took internal training to 796 hours, up from more than 280 the year before, and our Best Companies accreditation moved from 1 Star to 2 Star, the rating for an outstanding company to work for.

We help designers choose materials with real environmental credentials through a colour selector that filters for certified recycled content. Our carbon footprint has been independently assessed for a third consecutive year and is down 9.4 percent against our 2023 baseline, and we are working towards a 33 percent reduction by 2030. We work alongside organisations such as Material Source and Manchester Metropolitan University, because good ideas travel further when they are shared.

Good governance holds all of this together. Clear KPIs, regular compliance audits and continuity planning mean the way we work today is built to last.

Our 2025 Sustainability Impact Report is now complete and available to read, our second report to date.

Sustainability sits at the heart of our portfolio, strategy and behaviours, and the report sets out what that looks like in practice.

The report covers our approach across customers, environment, partnerships, team and governance, from our carbon reduction plan, backed by a carbon footprint independently assessed for a third consecutive year, to the certifications behind the materials we supply. It is a transparent look at where we are, and where we are heading next.

Commercial fit-outs leave little room for error, and the finish is often where it shows.

How a surface is finished can affect the durability of the surface. A finish that suits a vertical surface will not always stand up on a horizontal one that takes daily wear. We are pleased to share that over the summer we successfully completed our latest FSC® Chain of Custody audit.

The independent assessment renews the chain of custody for the storage and distribution of PaperStone®, a surface material made from layers of FSC certified paper, stacked and combined with a natural resin. It reflects our ongoing commitment to responsible sourcing and transparent supply chains, something we have held since we first started supplying PaperStone®.

For designers and contractors, sustainability targets and responsible material sourcing are an essential part of the specification process. PaperStone® has previously been specified for that reason, chosen for the Royal Academy of Arts' John Hejduk London Masque installation both for its lower environmental impact and its paper based composition, fitting for an exhibition rooted in Hejduk's paper architecture.

In washrooms and bathrooms, a surface has to perform under constant use, moisture and cleaning, while still setting the tone of the space.

No two briefs are alike. Hygiene, durability, maintenance, sustainability and design intent all carry weight, and the right surface comes down to how those priorities balance for each application.

Our role is to help designers find the right fit for the application in front of them, from vanities and integrated basins to shower enclosures, cubicles and feature walls. The materials we supply carry certifications covering performance, safety, hygiene and responsible sourcing, contributing to frameworks such as the WELL Building Standard.

A half-sheet panel changes how you read a colour. At full scale, you get a truer sense of how the tone and character carry across a whole surface.

A flawless finish comes down to the tools behind it, and we have added the latest, relevant Mirka® products to our fabrication tools offer.

We have added several new tools by Mirka® to our range: the Mirka® DEROS II random orbital sander, the Mirka® DEROS RS 600 rotary sander, the Mirka® DEXOS 1217 compact dust extractor, and the Mirka® Y-Branch, an accessory that splits the DEXOS extractor's hose so two tools can be connected and run at once. Between them they cover sanding, finishing and dust free extraction, plus we have finishing processes available for Corian® Solid Surface, Montelli® Surfaces, PaperStone® and Polygood®.
