Excited to reveal a new short film coming soon!

Since entering baby mode, my taste in television has changed for the better. I’ve found myself wanting to watch things that offer something beyond entertainment but I still have to steer myself away from reality TV because it can be so juicy.

When I watch narrative television, my filmmaker brain immediately starts analyzing the story structure and character development. So lately, I’ve gravitated toward historical documentaries. They’ve been incredibly rewarding, teaching me about the past in ways that can still be applied to our lives today.

That fascination inspired the idea for my new short film: What would future historians say about the society we’re living in right now?

Historical Documentary: The Age of Influence is a sci-fi mockumentary examining our obsession with followers, visibility, and online influence as seen through the eyes of historians from the future.

Pulling permits can be so hard to do with the complicated process FilmLA has. I even had a filmmaker friend tell me a permit officer came out on their production and was being a stickler on what they can and can’t do. What a nightmare!

But a city not too far from LA is permit friendly and has a more simplified process. It’s called Huntington Beach! taken in Los Angeles, California by @cebreirocreative
