Long transparency post!Almost two years ago, I made one of the hardest decisions of my life—I walked away from a 10-year relationship and chose myself.What came after wasn’t easy.I experienced homelessness, my car was repossessed, and I was unemployed for eight months… all while raising my two babies.Everything that was connected to that chapter of my life, I had to let go. It forced me to rebuild from the ground up and taught me lessons I never imagined I’d have to learn.Even though I stepped away from teaching, I never stepped away from movement. The dance fitness community became my safe place. Every class I attended, every event I showed up to, every hug, every smile, every beat reminded me that healing was still possible.Today, I can finally say I’m on the other side of that season.My babies have a home.I have peace.I have joy.And most importantly, I have myself.Choosing me was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I knew we were no longer meant to continue our journey together, and while that choice came with loss, it also made room for growth, healing, and a future I couldn’t see at the time.I’m still not back on the mic leading classes just yet, but you’ll continue to see me showing up, supporting my community, dancing, and slowly finding my way back to the front of the room.To my dance community, my sisters, my friends, and most importantly God—thank you for holding space for me while I rebuilt my life. Thank you for loving me when I didn’t always know how to love myself.If you’re in a season where choosing yourself feels impossible, keep going. The road may be difficult, but your future self will thank you.Here’s to healing, new beginnings, and never giving up on yourself. ❤️ by @cece_marcea

Make time for those who make time for you. ❤️Today I had the chance to support not only one of my favorite Step N Twerk instructors, but also a friend. @tuhnaayyy @dayoneagain_ 🫶🏽 It made my heart so happy to get out, move my body, and support someone who consistently pours into others.There truly isn’t a better way to start a Saturday than with great energy, amazing people, and a good sweat! 💪🏽✨If you’d like to join us for the next pop-up class, let me know!
