Congratulations to Cecilia Worcester of @waccamawhighschool this year’s recipient of our Salute to Education Scholarship, presented by Dr. Brian Blair.

For Dr. Blair, this moment was especially meaningful. His own journey into orthopedics began after he was injured as a young athlete, a pivotal experience that introduced him to a provider who became his mentor. That mentorship, paired with opportunities to shadow through high school, laid the foundation for his career. To now be honored by a patient like Cecilia, who credits him as an influence in her own aspirations, was truly a full-circle moment.

Cecilia represents the next generation of care, athletes treating athletes, and Dr. Blair noted that her firsthand experience will give her a unique advantage as she pursues her future in medicine. We’re proud to support her journey and excited to see what lies ahead. by @cecilia.worcester

soccer has been a huge part of my life for as long as i can remember. it’s always been more than just a sport, it’s been a family that supports and cares for one another no matter what. i thank waccamaw soccer for giving me some of my best friends in the entire world and a team full of friends that im sure to never forget. even though that at the beginning of this season i had plans to not play, i am so so glad i changed my mind. as my 13 years of playing comes to an end i want to thank my teammates- who always lifted me up even on my worst days- my coaches- who inspired and pushed me to always work towards developing and being a better player- and most importantly the people who always had unwavering belief in me. thank you all for the most amazing 4 years and memories that i will never forget. i love you all more than anything. taken in Waccamaw High School by @cecilia.worcester
