We are in business to inspire, and that’s also why our founder is involved in higher education and research that discovers new topics and addresses ongoing everyday design problems.

Cecilia currently holds a remote adjunct faculty position at Georgetown University where she obtained her master’s degree in Design Management and Communications at the School of Continuing Studies.

Cecilia is also employed at Wade College in Dallas, Texas where she is currently Director and full-time professor for the undergraduate interior design program.

Today I had the honor of presenting the Distinguished Achievement Award to my college friend Kirsten as she delivered the keynote speech for @wadecollege ‘26 commencement ceremony. Full circle moments like this don’t come around often.

But the real weight of today hit when my first batch of students walked that stage. The same students I watched doubt themselves, push through exhaustion, revisions, critiques, life… and still show up. Today they graduated.

Teaching has a way of changing you quietly. One day you realize the students you poured into are no longer students. They’re professionals, creatives, leaders, and people the world now gets to experience outside the classroom walls.

Bittersweet doesn’t even cover it. I’m unbelievably proud of every single one of them. Go make something real of this life!
