🥉 BRONZE FOR THE MIXED 2X!

After setting a world-best time in the semifinals this morning, Cedar Cunningham and Olympian Sophia Vitas came back fighting for the podium and delivered.

Cunningham & Vitas finished third in 6:22.75, just 0.41 seconds behind second place.

Vitas earns her second bronze medal of the week, while Cunningham captures his first World Championship medal.

Heats kicked off today at the World Rowing Championships. Very honored to represent our country again in the quad. Put in solid training with these boys since July. New Jersey, training camp in north Italy, now Amsterdam. Excited to get another run down the race track Thursday and Sunday.

Had a nice pre worlds training trip in Italy with the boys. Headed to Amsterdam for the world champs now. Arrivederci Erba! Quad field is looking pretty stacked this year but we got a short stroke seat, the ultimate power play.

World Cups 🥉 Jacob and I had quite the comeback, sitting a length down at the 500m and 1k, pulling through GB and Spain to snag 3rd.

Also came away with two wins in the mixed events with @sophvitas and 5th in Bulgaria with @james_wri. American sculling is back.

Looking forward to building this momentum to the world champs. by @cedar_cunningham

Prepping for World Cup 3 in Italy with the albatross himself, Jacob @plihal_ only guy that makes me feel small.

Super fortunate to get to learn from this fellow Washington guy, if we medal I’ll have to make him an honorary coug. Excited to compete well but those Serbs and Chinese are pretty fast.
