I bought these pants on Depop.

I am posting them because I have never talked about this time in high school when an acquaintance was gang raped by several of my male “acquaintances” and it was joked about around the halls of my school.

The victim apologized to me- because I had been dating one of the offenders.

She was worried I was mad at her.

I don’t remember what happened after that. I remember her being made fun of. I remember her having a nickname.

I remember not doing anything about it.

I was young. I didn’t fully understand. But something should’ve been done and I am so ashamed I didn’t realize that at the time.

I have a super serious question.

Why would the ADT security alarm person find it necessary to turn our alarm system to a directive to announce when the front door is opened and the back door is opened when we literally live in a shotgun where the only doors to open are either the front door or the back door?

Each door is the same distance from me and my gun. Literally. So the alarm should just say- door open. But the only people who open the door have a code to open the door.

AND- Why after a year of this ridiculousness did I just consider the possibility that I could turn it off?

So you and burglars and home invaders and uninvited friends- you can now enter my home without me knowing which door you’re coming in from.

But, I don’t have a gun. And I don’t know why I have a home alarm system.

If you wanted to break in though- we have nothing of value so just don’t.

I do have a ring bell and it can identify you. But only from the front door. Fuck. I’ll turn the back door alert back on now.

I didn’t capture hardly any of my OklaHOMEa interactions. With my family or my HS sweethearts or the moving @firstamericansmuseum- but I got a few.

Spent time w my aunts and one uncle and one cousin. My sister, my nephew, my niece, my great-nephews, my mom and my dad. Two of my oldest friends.

Got to visit the Oklahoma State Penitentiary where my sister, @annaurock spends a lot of time. Her choice by nature, not her choice by bad choices.

Got to throw my back out carrying a sleeping baby provided by @44.4rest- which, btw, my evergreen niece, @reaceypeacey, couldn’t handle!

Enjoyed @jpcreeper2 treating a dog like they have NEVER treated a dog.

Saw @bleajackson- best aunt and her amazing spawn, @elizabethpifer1.

Mistook Uncle Frank for my dad before @judyandfrank came by.

Learned of @ms_dandelion’s judgements of mine and @emilyhartphoto’s sleep patterns.

Got to cry with and mark @jennyburks with jewelry that represents our broken hearts.

Hugged a few others like @aaron_peters_ and @alan.harris and @ahmedcooper and @derekburleson13 and @jbiswayawesome and so many Moore. Westmoore!

This was harder than writing my Senior Square.

Going home always creates interesting spaces for me. I sleep differently, I interact strangely. I observe. I tell stories from different perplexities and different memories and different experiences. I experience Bey in unexpected ways. I see my family in different lights. I see my darkness.

I have always had a little ability to say what I need to say. And always a little ability to not say it fully. My voice, despite what some think, is always a little tempered. A little.

Everyone should live free. Free of expectations. Freedom to just be and do whatever you want as long as it causes no harm or violence to anyone else. Just being and doing.

I do not have any hard belief in anything- not sure if I ever did. However, my dead. The dead that I dream of- just want me to be happy. None of them come to me in my dreams and say anything.

They say nothing to me except my own regrets when they were here. And none of them are mad at me. Neither is God.

If God was mad at you it would make her human. And God is definitely female. Seriously. Think about it. taken in Robles Park by @cedarjean
