🎶✨ It’s Here: South Fulton’s Official City Anthem! ✨🎶

Inspired by the viral #HeyTwin movement started by the City of South Fulton Police Department, the City of South Fulton is proud to debut its first-ever official city anthem.

Written and composed by @cedric.young and championed by @mayorcarmalithagumbs , the anthem celebrates the culture, pride, unity, and spirit that make South Fulton special.

Featuring appearances by community members, local leaders, and the award-winning Westlake Mighty Marching Lions, this project is a tribute to the people who call South Fulton home.

Blessed, Humbled, and Honored: Music Greeks Hall of Fame 2026 Gamma Class

I am truly humbled and grateful to have been selected as a member of the 2026 Gamma Class of the Music Greeks Hall of Fame.

My sincere thanks to Mr. Jeremiah Johnson Sr., Founder of the Music Greeks Hall of Fame, and the Selection Committee for this distinguished honor. The induction program was a first-class event, and I appreciate everyone who helped make it such a memorable occasion.

It is a privilege to be recognized alongside Dr. Kenneth G. Ruff, Dr. James B. Oliver, Mr. Roosevelt Pratt Jr., and Mr. Lorenzo Moore—educators whose contributions have positively impacted countless students, musicians, and band programs.

As I reflect on 37 years as a band director and music educator, including my current role as Director of Bands at Westlake High School, I am reminded that none of this would have been possible without the support of so many people. I extend heartfelt thanks to my late parents, relatives, family members, former Alabama State University professors, teachers, mentors, students, alumni, band staff members, colleagues, administrators, band booster organizations, community leaders, church family, friends, the Westlake High School Fine Arts Department, my fellow faculty and staff members, the school systems and supervisors who entrusted me with opportunities to serve, and all who have encouraged and supported me throughout this journey.

Thank you for your belief in me and for being part of my story. I am honored, grateful, and committed to continuing the work of serving young people through music education.

We are proud to celebrate these outstanding musicians for earning all Superior ratings at the Georgia Music Educators Association Large Group Performance Evaluation.
