We're not much into spooky stuff, but we do love the fall season. Magic Kingdom gives a good balance between the two with their Not-So-Scary Halloween. Even though we didn't do the event this time around, we still enjoyed seeing all the decorations. Yeah, I'm sure the Headless Horseman puts on a pretty cool show...But for us, just a few pumpkins and some night rides is all we need. 🎢🎃🍁🍂 taken in Magic Kingdom by @cedstanley

Happy Birthday Walt Disney World! When the resort opened 55 years ago on October 1, 1971, it was vastly smaller than the sprawling vacation empire it is today. Dubbed the "Vacation Kingdom of the World," the initial phase consisted of just one theme park and two resort hotels....Magic Kingdom and Disney's Contemporary Resort and Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. 11 years later, Epcot also opened on October 1st in 1982, making it 44 years old today. Heart of the Beast - PG-13 - 2026 ‧ Adventure ‧ 1h 41m

Can an animal win an Oscar? If so, let's please give it to the dog in Heart of the Beast. Released today in theaters, we went to go see this new Brad Pitt movie and was treated to one of the best survival movies we've seen in quite a while. But not only is this a great survival story, it's also a love story between a man and his dog. There's been tons of movies that show what a human will do for their furry companion, but this film kind of flips the script and shows what an animal will do for their human. It's just a really great man's best friend flick. And I know what you may be wondering, does the dog die? Most people will care less if Brad Pitt's character dies in the movie, they're like, "Please, just let the dog live." Well, let me put you at ease so you don't have to go sit through another Old Yeller...This movie has a happy ending. But to get to that ending, you'll have to sit through a lot of tragedy first. It'll definitely make you cry, so bring the tissues. As for the movie itself, it's a very simple story. There's only like four characters in the film, and one of them is a dog. At times, the story does slow down to focus on the relationship between the two, but when it's time for action, it's very intense and it'll make you sit on the edge of your seat. Probably my biggest negative of the movie is that there's some bad CGI when it comes to the wilds of Alaska, you can tell that some of the dangers these characters face are obviously fake. But what isn't fake, is the beauty of the landscape that is showcased in this film...It's very beautifully shot. This might very well be one of David Ayer's best films he's ever done...In my opinion. What he and Brad Pitt have done here, is make one of the best survival films I've ever seen. And the dog...Wow! All I can say is, this might be one of the best canine performances of all time. He's the real MVP, not Brad Pitt. But seriously though, both were fantastic in the film. Alaska is no joke...Trekking 58 miles through its wilderness is absolutely terrifying...But it also makes for very powerful cinema.
