Last week, co-founder Prof. Arjun Venkatesan’s PFASolve, Inc. began a pilot study for their PFAS capture technology, PFASzOut, in partnership with Ridgewood Water Utility. This collaboration is putting PFASzOut to the test in a real-world situation 💧

Advanced defense initiatives like AUKUS Pillar II dominate the headlines with AI and hypersonics, but none of these innovations leave the ground without the secure physical infrastructure to support them.

It was a privilege for IAB chair Maurice Rached to deliver the opening remarks at the AUKUS Partnership Forum in Raleigh and to introduce Congresswoman Deborah Ross, who continues to be a relentless champion for North Carolina’s defense and advanced manufacturing sectors.

In his role as Chair of the Civil and Environmental Engineering Advisory Board at NJIT, bridging the gap between industry demands and academic excellence is a top priority. Building the hyper-secure environments where these international breakthroughs are tested requires not just strategic vision, but the next generation of top-tier engineering talent to execute it.

Finally, a massive shoutout to Mike Ryan and the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina (EDPNC) for organizing this event 🙌

It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of our fellow board member, Andre Eric Grebenstein.

“His passing is a sudden and heartbreaking loss, taking him from us far too soon. Andre was a valued member of our Advisory Board who consistently dedicated his time, insight, and leadership to supporting our department, profession, and students. His contributions, thoughtful presence, and camaraderie will be sorely missed by all of us.” -Maurice Rached by @cee_iab
