RUN THIS TOWN. #IvanaOrtiz who on March 8th shot at #Rihanna and #AsapRocky’s #LA home with their children inside has been ruled legally competent to stand trial.

The indictment also charges Ortiz with 10 counts of assault with an assault weapon — one for each of the people on the two properties — and three counts of shooting at an inhabited dwelling or camper. It names the couple’s three children, Rza, Riot and Rocki, all under age 5, as victims. The assault weapon counts carry a stiffer sentence than the original charges of assault with a semiautomatic firearm.

She could get life in prison if found guilty of all the charges.

She is next scheduled to return to court for a pretrial hearing on Wednesday, October 28, 2026. Her bail is set at $2.65 million dollars.

Trial date has not yet been set.

ENOUGH. The 2016 Paris jewelry heist involving #KimKardashian was a criminal case that led to eight individuals were convicted of crimes including armed robbery and kidnapping.

However, the legal proceedings also featured a civil component built directly into the criminal system. Under French law, victims can join a criminal trial as a civil party (partie civile) to seek damages. Through this process, a Paris court awarded Kardashian a symbolic civil payout of 1 euro in damages, which she requested purely for accountability and victim recognition rather than financial compensation.

NOT OVER JUST YET. #LilDurk (Durk Banks) was just acquitted in #LA of the federal #murderforhire charges stemming from the 2022 shooting that killed Quando Rondo’s cousin, Saviay’a Robinson. An alleged hit that went bad over retaliation of the killing over his friend #KingVon.

Durk still faces a separate federal trial scheduled for October 5th in Los Angeles.

That case involves allegations tied to racketeering (aka RICO) murder in aid of racketeering, and firearms offenses. Specifically, the Violent Crimes in Aid of Racketeering Activity (VICAR) Act.

The government’s theory is that his Only the Family organization (OTF) operated as an enterprise and that violence—including the 2021 Atlanta shooting involving Durk and King Von where Georgia dropped the charges and 2022 Chicago killing of Stephon Mack where two others pleaded guilty and Durk was not formally charged—was still carried out as part of that enterprise.

Therefore, these are separate charges from the case where Durk was just acquitted.

CALM DOWN. Singer, Actress and Entrepreneur #SelenaGomez is asking a federal court to dismiss a lawsuit accusing her of fraud, breach of contract, and securities fraud regarding her mental health startup, Wondermind.

The Claims: The investors of Womdermind claim they lost nearly $1.2 million invested in 2022 after being misled about the company’s leadership, infrastructure, and Gomez’s active participation (Gomez was not only a minority stakeholder but Chief Impact Officer). They allege they were told Gomez would lead marketing and publicity, which did not happen as anticipated.

Other Defendants: The lawsuit also names Gomez’s mother and co-founder Mandy Teefey, and co-founder Daniella Pierson.

Selena Gomez’s Response The Motion to Dismiss: On August 26, 2026, Gomez’s attorney, Mathew S. Rosengart, filed a motion in federal court to dismiss her from the lawsuit, calling the claims “absurd,” “frivolous,” and “completely meritless”.

Her legal team notes that management and day-to-day operations were run by Teefey and Pierson as co-CEOs.

YOU WANNA BE ON TOP? #Netfix has moved to strike #TyraBanks #defamation complaint under the Anti-Slapp Statue.

The Lawsuit Details
* Tyra’s Claims: Banks argues she sat for a multi-hour interview expecting a balanced look at the show, but that accountability clips were cut and editing falsely implied she turned a blind eye to a contestant’s on-set trauma.

* Netflix’s Response: Netflix pushed back, filing in their motion to strip the complaint that that Banks signed editorial waivers, is merely looking for more favorable airtime, and that editorial framing does not constitute actionable defamation under antinslapp statute.

An anti-SLAPP law protects people from baseless lawsuits meant to silence them for speaking out on public issues. SLAPP stands for “Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation”.

Guobadia claims Porsha still owes him a $8 million debt.

MOVING FORWARD. Singer #D4vd will stand trial for murder of #CelesteRivas because #LA preliminary hearing judge ruled that there was enough evidence including a sexual relationship where he impregnated Celeste more than once.

In addition to evidence he bought murder weapons, her body in his car and texts she had multiple abortions, the text messages allegedly also sent between Celeste Rivas and D4vd show she threatened to ruin his career the day before she was murdered, according to prosecutors.

The two had a heated exchange April 22, 2025 where Rivas was apparently jealous of another woman Burke had been hanging out with. “Bro, just bump her into no friends, acquaintance. Friends with her over me is disturbing and disgusting to me on a deeper level David,” Rivas said.

His arraignment will be next month where he will get his trial date. Thoughts?
