On September 13, 2024, the CMA Group paid a visit to Segun Ogabi, also known as Gbatie. Born in 1947, he became a member of the church in 1972 and currently resides in Abeokuta.

Gbatie has made a remarkable impact on CCC Music, establishing himself as one of the leading art music composers within the church.

He was recently honored with the CMA award for induction into the Hall of Legends. Among his early compositions are the songs “Ogo Ola Iyin Eye” and “Take Me as I Am.”
Baba Gbatie is also credited with many of the well-known songs performed by the CCC Central Choir today, which he joined in 1987. In addition to his musical talents, Baba Gbatie was an accomplished football player, having played for Niger Tornadoes and Stationery Stores.
He is set to be inducted into the CMA Hall of Legends on December 7, 2024.

We are so excited about CMA24 “Celebration in Harmony”
