#NARNIA this is my favourite I’m so excited for the movie

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe follows four siblings-Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy-who are evacuated from London during World War Il to a grand country house, where Lucy discovers a magical, snowbound world named Narnia inside an old wardrobe. The land is trapped in a permanent winter by the tyrannical White Witch, who lures the spiteful Edmund into betraying his siblings for power and enchanted Turkish Delight. To save Edmund and free Narnia, the remaining children unite with the majestic lion Aslan, the true ruler of Narnia, who willingly sacrifices his own life on the Stone Table to pay for Edmund’s treachery. Aslan returns from the dead through a deeper ancient magic, helping Peter lead the Narnian forces to victory in a climactic battle against the Witch; the four children are subsequently crowned kings and queens, ruling over a golden age until they accidentally tumble back through the wardrobe into England, where no time has passed.

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (2008) follows the Pevensie siblings-Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy
—as they are magically summoned back to Narnia one year after their first adventure. However, 1,300 years have passed in Narnian time. They find the land under the tyrannical rule of the Telmarines, who have driven the magical creatures into hiding. The siblings join forces with Prince Caspian, the rightful Telmarine heir fleeing his murderous uncle, King Miraz. Together, they lead a rebellion to defeat the Telmarine army, restore freedom to Narnia, and place Caspian on his throne.

Twilight is often remembered for its romance, but at its core, it’s a story about desire, danger, and the intoxicating pull of the unknown. Bella Swan’s move to Forks sets her on a path where the mundane collides with the supernatural, and her encounter with Edward Cullen transforms teenage longing into something far more perilous. What makes their connection so gripping is the balance between tenderness and threat— a love story defined as much by restraint as by passion.

Edward is both protector and risk, embodying the paradox of wanting someone who could also destroy you. Bella, for her part, is drawn not just to Edward but to the possibility of stepping outside the confines of ordinary life. That yearning, the ache for something bigger than small-town existence, is what makes her choice resonate: it’s not simply about falling in love, but about deciding who she wants to become.

The cultural phenomenon of Twilight lies in how it captured the fantasy of love as all-consuming, transcendent, and dangerous. Its atmosphere - all rain-soaked forests, hushed confessions, and forbidden touches - created a mood that spoke to a generation of viewers who craved intensity in their stories of first love. Whether read as romance, metaphor, or cultural milestone, Twilight endures because it taps into something universal: the hunger to be seen, chosen, and swept away, even if it means giving up everything familiar. by @celestiuswrites

#NARNIA I realised my username wouldn’t make sense if I don’t talk about my writing projects so here is an edit from my narnia fanfic ‘the lost legacy’ on wattpad!

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (2008) follows the Pevensie siblings—Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy—as they are magically summoned back to Narnia one year after their first adventure.

The film introduces a prominent romantic subplot between Susan and Caspian that was completely absent from C.S. Lewis’s original book. Throughout the film, director Andrew Adamson highlights a growing mutual attraction, marked by shared glances, protective instincts during battle, and subtle flirting. This connection culminates in a poignant farewell kiss just before Susan departs Narnia forever. Susan realistically notes that their romance could never work because she is “centuries older” than him and must return to her own world, adding a bittersweet layer of teenage heartbreak to the fantasy epic

#SUNRISEONTHEREAPING can’t believe I can only watch this in december

The Hunger Games is a dystopian story set in the nation of Panem, which is ruled by the wealthy Capitol and divided into twelve oppressed districts. As punishment for a past rebellion, each district must annually send one boy and one girl (tributes) to fight to the death in a televised battle royale until only one survivor remains

Mockingjay concludes Suzanne Collins’s dystopian trilogy by following Katniss Everdeen as she transitions from an unwitting pawn of the rebellion into its true symbol, the Mockingjay. She leads the districts of Panem to overthrow the tyrannical Capitol and President Snow, only to realize the new rebel leader is just as ruthless

Set 24 years before The Hunger Games, Suzanne Collins’ Sunrise on the Reaping follows 16-year-old Haymitch Abernathy on his reaping day. As the 50th Games (the second Quarter Quell) require double the tributes, Haymitch becomes a tribute alongside Maysilee Donner. On his 16th birthday, Haymitch is involuntarily swept into the Games when he defends his girlfriend, Lenore Dove, against Peacekeepers. The second Quarter Quell doubles the stakes, forcing 48 tributes—four from each district—to fight to the death in a lethal, poisoned arena engineered by the Capitol

#theballadofsongbirdsandsnakes is a story about transformation - not the heroic kind, but the slow, calculated corrosion of a man who learns to equate survival with power. It’s a character study disguised as a prequel, revealing how Coriolanus Snow evolves from a hungry, ambitious teenager into the architect of a system built on fear. What makes the film so compelling is its refusal to simplify him. Snow isn’t born monstrous; he’s shaped by a world that rewards cruelty and punishes vulnerability.

At its heart is his relationship with Lucy Gray Baird - a dynamic built on fascination, envy, tenderness, and strategy. Lucy Gray represents instinct, artistry, and emotional truth, while Snow represents control and calculation. Their connection is riddled with contradictions: he loves her performances, yet resents how easily she captivates others; he wants to protect her, yet fears the loss of power that comes with caring.

The film uses their bond to explore the tension between love and ambition - how one can quietly devour the other when fear dictates every choice.

The prequel also reframes Panem’s early days, showing a Capitol still raw from war, clinging to authority through spectacle and punishment. Snow’s evolution mirrors this reconstruction. Every decision he makes - whether out of desperation, jealousy, or pride - pushes him closer to the ideology that will one day define him.
The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes works because it understands that villains aren’t born; they’re built through compromise, loss, and the terrifying belief that power is the only way to stay safe. It’s a tragedy woven into a revolution’s origin story, where love becomes collateral damage to the hunger for control. by @celestiuswrites

The scientist has created jurda parem, a highly addictive drug that dangerously amplifies the magical abilities of the Grisha. An 18-year-old Fjerdan Drüskelle (witch-hunter), he is initially rescued by the crew from Hellgate prison, where he was wrongfully incarcerated after his former enemy-turned-lover, Nina Zenik, falsely accused him of slave trading to save his life. Matthias is a rigid, fiercely patriotic soldier deeply traumatised by his upbringing and conditioned to hate Grisha magic. Throughout the heist, his strict moral compass and prejudice are continually challenged as he overcomes his ingrained hatred, learns the power of forgiveness, and ultimate chooses love and loyalty to his friends over the toxic ideology of his homeland.
