“Eve”

Acrylic ink and oil pastels | Spring painting

I have learned the hard way that with a full time creative job, one painting finished a month is not as feasible as I thought. However, quality and texture matters, and once I scored some oil pastels the Impressionism seized the canvas and demanded the background be vivid, pearlescent, and catch the light. You should see how she glows in low lighting✨

First time mixing acrylics and oils! Expect to see more as I play with my new mediums.

New Year, new series. One physical painting (at least) for every month of 2026.

Here is January.

I start with imagery of my favorite butterfly, and a fun run with some modeling paste to see what textures I can create.

Which butterfly is your favorite?

Acrylic and modeling paste on canvas, with a selenite crystal ~•°

Dancing with the breeze

Kyra Celeste

Acrylic with Colorado dirt mixed in

Everything is destined for change.
I dance with the breeze as she sings.
My wings have grown,
and there's no telling
how far I've flown,
yet the horizon beckons me.
There is where I need to be.

"Death's Embrace In Outer Space"

•Ever had the feeling that you were totally and irrevocably... f*cked? Drifting out into a vast sea of stardust, air seeping out of your shrinking suit and frost claiming the tips of your fingers, what is the last thing you think about?

The Dark Knight

My counterpart, a foe on the battlefield, yet without him I would have nothing to fight for.

Part two to my surrealism practice. I will definitely familiarize myself more with anatomy and improve but I am liking my new approach to my drawings.
