This gown began with a very simple idea, how much can you say with lace without saying too much?

The bridal collection was built around minimalism, so I knew I didn’t want to overwhelm the gown with heavy embellishments. But for this particular design, I wanted to explore the romantic character of Chantilly lace, its softness, delicacy and almost effortless femininity.

Instead of relying on one lace throughout, I wanted to create a quiet conversation between different textures, lace patterns and embroidered details across the bodice and sleeves. Each layer was intentional, allowing the lace to frame the body, accentuate the structure of the gown and introduce romance without taking away from the simplicity of the silhouette.

The sketch came first, but what I loved most was watching the idea evolve from paper into something tangible. And interestingly, this was one of those designs where the process felt almost as beautiful as the finished piece. Even when I encountered challenges along the way, I never felt lost. I knew where I wanted the design to go, and that clarity allowed me to experiment, adjust and keep moving.

There was a certain ease to creating this one, a feeling of “I know exactly what this needs.”

And perhaps that is my favourite part of designing: when the vision is clear enough that the process begins to flow.

A gown that is intentionally minimal, but never ordinary.
Soft, romantic, intricate and still restrained.
