Every piece, regardless of IP, is examined for authenticity, graded for condition under CEL’s published standards, and reviewed for provenance. Confirmed authentic items receive an official grade, a unique serial number, and an entry in our database.

The grade reflects the condition of the material. Artistic sophistication, complexity, refinement, and the artist’s technical skill do not influence it.
