Very happy to have been invited to show my dearest work again. I started it during my Master’s program at HGK Fine Arts @hgkbasel_institutkunst and it has taken me to Los Angeles @makcenter Paris @citedesartsparis and so many other great places!

*Like archaeology, which is time read backwards, gravel mines are metaphorically cities turned upside down, though urban culture is unaware of its origins and rural birthplaces…* Lucy Lippard – Undermining

A Silent Land III, 2024
Print on aluminum, aluminum frame, 100x133.33cm
Developed during my time at the @makcenter
Was part of The Dezemberausstellung Fokus @kunst_museum_winterthur

Schindler called Los Angeles a paradise on earth, and he considered it the ideal environment for the next stage of truly modern architecture. … In the Los Angeles suburb lies the largest aggregate mining area in the state, if not the nation. The area is “so full of holes that more of the land in the city is a pit than not”. (Céline Brunko) - Inspired by Lucy R. Lippard by @celinebrunko

Fossils III, 2025
Tin cast, plexiglass boxes by @aucadredor, 26x23x3.5cm
Developed during my time at @citedesartsparis
Was part of the Dezemberausstellung @kunst_museum_winterthur

Drawing on Aldo Rossi’s understanding of the city as a built archive of collective memory, the work examines these historical layers and their interconnections. The underground becomes a space in which social and political forces lie hidden, overlap, and can be experienced as a resonating body. Fossils and relics speak from a temporal depth that transcends human hierarchies and show how history materializes. (Céline Brunko) by @celinebrunko
