A little unboxing of my newest addition from @realmsandroses!! Welcome home In Stormy Weather!! ⛈️ I absolutely had to have this character art when it became available as a preorder incentive… doesn’t hurt that I read an ARC copy of this book and Looooooved it!!! Lexie made a quick appearance too… look at the good stretch she did 😍🐶🐾 Here’s my review of the book: I was hooked from the start of this book by Quincy. A headstrong smart women in STEM character, she’s building her online following while doing what she loves - talking about the weather - and taking a change on a dream job opportunity! Sebastian is cocky and confident weather man. He comes back into town trying to find the joy that is lacking from his big shot NY career. He loves to tease Quincy as they are arch nemesis from high school, both going into the weather field. The detail are impeccable. Seb has a weather themed tattoo (no spoilers, you’ll have to read it). He also has a cute nickname for her and she doesn’t know what it means. The softness in their friends with benefits relationship and the intensity of storm chasing contrast beautiful in this story! The side characters totally build up the possibility for a series which each stand alone book explores a new character finding love, from the jaded bartender to the fireman and the baker. I’m hopeful this is a series and I can’t wait to spend more time with these characters! 🩵🌪️🩵 Main themes: ☀️Grumpy x Sunshine 🌪️Storm Chasers 🤓Women in STEM ❤️‍🔥Enemies to lovers 🛌Forced Proximity 👯Best Friends Brother by @celines_reads

Queens & Monsters series by J.T. Geissinger. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🔥SAVAGE HEARTS🔥 I loved going back into the mobster world that JT Geissinger created. Book 3 is a multiple POV book which features the characters from book 1 &2. The premise of this series is that a badass FMC can help a mobster be more human. It’s fun to watch these women serving these big bad mobster men their balls on a platter. The writing is sharp and crisp, just like all the other books Geissinger has written! “It’s not that I hate people, I just feel better when they’re not around.” « In a city of nearly a million people, I always felt alone. But here, in the middle of nowhere with only a crow and a killer for company, I don’t feel alone. » Main themes: 😈She is kidnapped 🤑Mobster MMC 🛌Forced Proximity 💔Third act breakup 👶Surprise pregnancy 🔥RUTHLESS CREATURES🔥 Spicy 🥵 but still has a decent storyline. Dark romance. He falls first. Enemies to lovers. Forbidden romance. Russian mafia. The storyline was pretty good. The FMC was strong and put everyone in their place. There was mystery layered into the smutt. It ended on a cliffhanger so I will definitely read the second book at some time. 🔪Mafia Romance 🕵️Hidden Identity 😈He Was Sent to Kill Her 🤬Touch Her and Die 🛏️Forced Proximity 🔥Insta-Love 🔥CARNAL URGES🔥 Mafia romance? Falls in love with her abductor? Secrets and lies? Doesn’t everyone love it when the bad boy falls in love? I loved the FMC character, she’s a smart ass and speaks a good game. The MMC is complicated and has layers. There is something captivating about dark romance. I really enjoyed this book. 🚁FLIGHT AND GLORY SERIES 🚁 The Reality of Everything ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Rebecca Yarrow does it again! I laughed, I cried, I stopped breathing … this book put me through the ringer. Morgan’s grief over the loss of Will was so potent and heartbreaking. The way it is portrayed made it feel so real that I felt I was going through it with her. I loved how she evolved in her grief through therapy and how she lets her emotions out, in a non apologetic way. Jackson is impossibly patient and steady in the best possible way to support Morgan. Finley brings out a lighter side of the story which balances perfectly the darker moments. The twists and turns in this story kept me on my toes, just when I thought I had it figured out, she went in a different direction and kept me guessing. Hallowed Ground ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Bring out the box of Kleenex… Rebecca Yarros does it again! I definitely recommend this book!! This is book #4 in the series, which I read by mistake before book #3. I ALWAYS read the books in order… but in this book, on page 2, Ember and Paisley get an army notification of death but you don’t know which man is dead and then the book goes back 3-4 months… I was sucked in and couldn’t put it down. I had to know 🥺😬☠️ This book was heartbreaking, in the best possible way. Ember and Josh try to figure out their relationship with all the war, deployments, anthropological digs, the distance, ptsd, survivors guilt… boy these kids go through it all! Their emotions are raw and you can feel that the author is pulling from real emotions. 🖤 Oh hell 😭😭😭😭 this book just wrecked me🫠🫠🫠🫠 Greyson and Sam didn’t expect to fall in love, but once they do they have to navigate through a field of land mines to get to the other side. These two characters go through much pain and tragedy 🥺 Want a book that will rip your heart out? Pick this one up! ❤️‍🩹 Army romance. He falls first. Lifesaver turned lovers trope. 🌶️🌶️ mild We met Jagger in book #1 but this could be read as a stand alone. Jagger has a complicated past but when he rescues Paisley from drowning, he fall completely head over heals for her. She leaves her boyfriend for him, but she has a life threatening by @celines_reads

I’m on vacation this week, so choose a book on slide two and get a book recommendation (likely a little romance book) to keep you company during your vacation. Let me know which one you choose in the comments below 👇☀️ Nova Scotia, Canada Outer banks, NC, USA Scotland Capri, Italy Florida, USA Tofino, BC, Canada A small town « come from away » romance which started as a one night stand in the city comes to a head when they both find themselves thrown together in the small town of Balsam Bay, NS. The characters are real and raw. We get to see all their emotional roller coaster and see how Billie and Darcy come together to overcome their challenges. Main themes: 👀Dual POV ⚕️PPMD & ADHD representation 👩‍⚕️Mental Health representation 🍆One Night Stand 🏝️Vacation Fling 🏡Small Town Romance 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒Complicated family dynamics The twists and turns in this story kept me on my toes, just when I thought I had it figured out, she went in a different direction and kept me guessing. Ex-Rugby player, owns a bookstore and admits to reading romance. Gives attention to the daughter and falls head over heels for the mom! While this looks like a fun summer book (not me judging a book by it’s cover👀), this is a story about a pact that three university friend make after their friend Summer commits suicide. The pact consists of promising to call one another if they ever hit rock bottom. Many years later, Hannah finds her fiancé in bed with another woman and thu by @celines_reads

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This book is a thoughtful and funny story about a woman in her 50s wanting to open a sex shop in the small town of Lunenburg, NS. This book made me laugh and cry and gasp of surprise as the storyline evolved! Each character has their own struggles and storylines in regards to their sexuality and current stage of life. There is quite a lot going on in this book, so it keeps you hooked and entertained throughout! There are characters in their 20s, 50s and 80s to portray each stage of life. The secondary characters are colourful and exactly what you’d expect in a small coastal town. I loved the « found family » aspect of small town Lunenburg. I especially loved Eric, as a secondary character, he’s a crusty old man and gives hell to everyone around him while still being totally infatuated by his longtime wife Margot. Between affairs, illegitimate children, loosing your virginity, finding ways to spice up your sex life after years of marriage, opening a sex shop, being bi, and starting over… there is something for everyone in this book! REVIEW:☀️One Golden Summer☀️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Loved going back to Barry’s Bay! Alice and Charlie’s story was such a perfect start of summer read. It captures everything good that can happen in the summer if you just allow and trust. The only thing missing was Charlie’s POV for me. It kept me wanting to know and understand more about him and what he was going through. I suppose it put me in the same place Alice would have been, only being able to see the bits and pieces of himself that he’s willing to show. Loved the bucket list aspect of the book and it’s inspiring me to create my own grown up bucket list. « « Sweet dreams, Alice, » she says. « And remember… » I smile. Because until this moment, I’d forgotten how every day ended the summer I was seventeen. « Good things happen at the lake, » I finish.
