Calle Cerra, Santurce, Puerto Rico

One of the coolest things I saw at the @beyondwallslynn festival this summer was watching 🎨 @celsoart create this stunning mosaic mural. Each piece is individually cut and placed. A true master.

Esencia No Va - medio mixto 2026

My first time documenting mosaic and it was incredible. Watching Celso break tiles all day and arrange them into this master piece is something I will never forget. He was so laser focused sometimes I think he didn’t know I was even there taking photos.

🔊 Announcing @celsoart 🔊

🎨 Meet the artists joining the 2026 Classroom to the Streets cohorts!

🇵🇷 CELSO is a Puerto Rican mosaic artist who is recognized around the world for his amazing mixed-media murals and his community projects.

“Celso’s art is reflective, it is an introspective work, always honoring his Loiceña and Rio Grande roots, where some of the magic that abounds in his compositions germinates. Although today he feels more inclined to interpretation and abstract experimentation, in his earlier work, he used allegorical symbolisms to their roots, such as the vejigante, the popular culture masks, the baquiné and bomba and plena among others. More than nostalgia, Celso celebrates where he came from, where he has gone and where he is going...

All of Celso’s projects have significant community importance. During the 2019 Beyond Walls Street Art Festival, Celso worked with local youth groups @rawartworkslynn and @bgclynn involving these young people in his creative process. He says that his involvement with the community has proven to be the most gratifying part of his work.
