We spoke to Kathy, co-founder of @celtictweed, one of Gifted’s iconic makers, who's been with us for many years.

What a day filled with #food #fashion and #fun in my home county @explorefingal I started the day at @celtictweed and followed the remarkable story of clothing manufacturing in Balbriggan- tried on some smashing coats too! Followed by an incredible seafood lunch @stoopyourheadskerries in #skerries with mouthwatering crab and prawns. The next stop was a visit to @ardgillancastle gardens and artist studios. Entry is only €10 for adults and makes a lovely way to put in the afternoon. The castle is steeped in history and they even have a friendly ghost on the stairway! From there I checked out the fabulous new #glamping pods @hiddenacres_malahideescapes in malahide. Such high spec for an overnight stay and with log burning hot tubs too! Met all the animals from goats to alpacas and enjoyed great hospitality from Sarah. The evening finished with dinner @pomodorinoswords where I had the best pizza outside of Italy…Such a find and they do takeout too! More from @explorefingal tomorrow! This was novel travel on my doorstep and such a lovely surprise! Thanks to @lesley.emerson.52 for organising this delicious day! taken in County Fingal by @celtictweed
