Our Celtic Cabaret !

Celtic analogies shared through song & dance, hilarious comedy with incredible athleticism & very sexy raunchy edge to say the least !

Huge thanks to @ethereal_ivylou @theladyofmanyhats @bubbles_the_pixie @roddyotheroses @anouska.zankhana @wonderings.of.a.wanderingwitch @lifeofwrenegade @_mr_magpie_ & many of the others incredible brave hilarious talented people who shared gifts of wisdom at our Cabarets.

Always themed to the season, this is not just about nipple tassels all though we do lave a tassel. We tell a story of season, brining back folklore and wisdom in much more playful way!
We are planning something epic for Beltane you do not wana miss this!

We are sorry to announce that our event Equinox in Devon is cancelled. It was a difficult decision to make but due primarily to the land not quite being ready to host the numbers expected, it would have put too much pressure on the site.
The impact of the long drought this year followed by heavy rain has meant it is in the interest of the land and various plant and wildlife projects we have underway here, to allow for space and rest at this time. With the type of events we create, it feels imperative we remain attuned to the land and manifold species we are in relationship with, especially in times of increasing weather extremes and ecological challenge.

Thank you to all the collaborators who brought an abundance of vision and energy to this event. For all those who bought tickets, full refunds have been issued and discount codes will be available for our Beltane festival in May.
If you booked the basket weaving weekend workshop, this is still going ahead so we look forward to seeing you for this more intimate crafting experience.

We intend to host future smaller events and gatherings on the beautiful land here, including local music showcases, traditional craft workshops, grief ceremonies, storytelling, tree planting, and much more.

We are also soon to launch our annual Celtic Wheel Collaborations festival, Beltane Fire & Frivolity. We will be gathering again next May on Picadae Peak Farm for 4 days of music, craft, dance, sauna, workshops, and of course the iconic maypole ceremony and handfasting celebrations! Early-bird tickets to be released soon.

For now, we hope everyone enjoys a beautiful autumn equinox as we celebrate this precious time of equilibrium, harvest, and turning into the dark half of the year.

Equinox Weaving Workshop

Come and join us over the weekend for an intentional, community basket making workshop where we'll be making berry picking baskets to mark and celebrate the equinox.

Equinox is the point at which both dark and light are in equal balance, a time where we harvest the fruits of the warmer, lighter months of the year before heading into the dark half of the year. We'll weave with the intention to reflect on what we have achieved and harvested and what we are bringing with us to keep us resourced and well during the colder, winter months. Each person will weave a berry picking basket using willow, learning ancient ancestral weaving techniques.

The workshop will be split over the two days:

Saturday and Sunday
11am - 1pm
Lunch break
2pm - 4pm

Reminiscing over ‘Fire & Frivolity’, a @celticwheelcollaborations Beltane Festival! Summers a beautiful time to reconnect with dearest ones, when we can all escape our everydays, realign with distant friends, and rekindle old flames as our communities cross-pollinate and birth new ideas ✨🔥✨

@celticwheelcollaborations was a blast and brought in many folks close to my heart: showcasing some wildly talented, wonderfully unique, and sensuous souls on sacred land, gathered around the fire with drummers and dancers, aligned with the Tor, vibrant music, folk friends, faeries, dazzling burlesque performers, incredible wholesome foods, and an abundance of cacao and super yummy sauna. Yes!

🌳The battle of Holly & Oak ! 🍃

⚔️Every six months a battle ensues with the tide shifting dramatically yet subtly from one ruler to the next !

🎭The Holly King & The Oak King !

Battle of twin brothers ruling the lands of Albion....

The mighty Oak King standing tall ever present in all his glory has ruled since Winter Solstice, growing ever stronger since his leaves fell last Autumn - the momentum has swung!

Defeated today whilst looking albeit his Oak age finest at the peak of summer the Holly King has won, now as the days begin to draw in, his prickliness spikes!

🍃All Hail the Holly King they exclaim! As Summer is in its height this long drawn out battle has not an obvious victor, but a creeping underdog who slowly removes the other from their Throne before the next battle ensues in 6 months time.

🍂Time for the Oak King to slowly lose his leaves this coming Autumn and replenish before he commits to reclaim his throne.

👑All Hail the former king ! Oak !

Oh what it takes to set up an entire installation stage for 🔥 flow, entirely hand crafted and painting from scratch by yours truly! This time it was from Beltane celebrations with @celticwheelcollaborations last month.

The installation stage is called “The Cauldron” and can travel to other events as a flow & fire ritual space for creativity to unfold ! 🔥
