Only the birthday of @mikayla_online could get me out of Renaissance Faire retirement!!!! I fell asleep in the car ride home like a CHILD!! All my pirate gear from King Richard’s is back home in Mass for my nieces and nephews to play with. I decided last minute I wanted to be a princes. I was up until 2:30am making my skirt! Gather stitching 4 yards of fabric to a 25 inch waist infront of the tv fighting sleep and totally worth it. I was happy with the way it turned out. Mikayla is the most there-for-you person I have ever met and I was happy to spend the day playing games, dancing and being princesses with her. 🏴‍☠️👸🏻🧚🏰🐴🍻 taken in Renaissance Pleasure Faire by @ceniadarling

A restaurant where the table cloths are made of paper. The servers encourage you to color on them. Somehow this doesn’t feel gimmicky. The walls are decorated with the drawings of patrons. The food is farm to table. The lighting is dim. The diners are dressed nice but not over the top. I promise you’ve seen this place while stuck in Laurel Canyon traffic and wondered what the heck that mysterious little cottage door was. In 2016 I was hired to be a spokesmodel for FCA. On the way to training, I distinctly remember hearing whispers of “the sisters” and how beloved they were. I was struggling to make friends and somehow, on the last day I ended up sitting next to these famous sisters in an auditorium full of the seasons ambassadors. I remember feeling welcomed, reassured and at ease around them. I didn’t know they would become my best friends for the next 9 years. “Soul Sisters” as Lauraina would say. When it was time to go home I had been through 3 days of meeting new people and learning about cars- I just wanted to get on that flight and go to bed. On the shuttle back to the airport I’m next to this super, SUPER CHATTY man. I did my best but when I was say I was DONE, I mean it. I answered his questions and politely said, “Well, it was nice meeting you but I think I’m going to take a nap”. You guys, my eyes were SHUT and he was STILL TALKING TO ME. This interaction happened THREE MORE TIMES. I COULDN’T TAKE IT ANY MORE! I took my hoodie and wrapped it around my head to cover for my face to block him out! After some time I get put on a show with the chatty guy. He says, “You didn’t like me when you first met me.” Upon working together we found out that we actually got along really well and he has since learned to read the room. I met the sisters and the chatty man on the same day. Never in my wildest dreams did I expect to be STANDING AT THE ALTAR WITH THEM AT THEIR WEDDING! Seeing the devotion these two have for each other and the tenderness in their interactions really touched me. Feels as though they’ve been married a life time. October 24, 2024 is a day I will never forget. 💕 💞

Went to the Sequoia Trees this Thanksgiving weekend. My favorite part was “The House” shown in the first shot and decompressing with a marg at the restaurant that’s on the base of the park right on the creek. (Not pictured)
