Yesterday, the @nyc_mudhens took Game 1 of the @centralpark.baseball finals from @skyscrapersbaseball in dramatic fashion, getting a two-run walk-off blast from Ramiro Milar in the bottom of the 11th inning to come away with a 7-5 win.

The heavy weight matchup we’ve all been waiting for!

For the third season in a row the mighty Mud Hens, the reigning champs, are making an appearance in the PCBL Championship. But this year they are encountering a new foe. A challenger who has built a Cinderella season on the backs of two mighty righties and one loathsome lefty. But the Skyscrapers are not all arms. They have the bats to do damage as evidenced in their walk off win versus the Hens earlier this season.

Get ready for a wild DH today to start this best of three series for all the marbles in the North Meadow. The Hens have the tenacity to wear down the ‘scrapers arms and put some runs on the board. But can the Hens arms hold down a sneakily good ‘scrapers offense? Honestly, this one is too close to call, as any championship series should be!

Tonight, the PCBL All Stars touch down in Hawk City, Staten Island to get their game on and celebrate an amazing year in the North Meadow and beyond! Concessions will be open so come grab a hot dog and a beer and join us in saying thanks to all the players who have made this season so special.

Get ready for some great ball and then get a good night sleep and come out to the North Meadow for the Championship series this weekend. It’s gonna be a doozy as the reigning champs, the Mud Hens, take on the dream team, the Skyscrapers, in a best of three showdown. Game one on field 6, 1:00 first pitch. Game two on field 3, 4:00 first pitch. Sunday if necessary.

In a testament to how good the PCBL has gotten the last three years, all top seeded teams were ousted last weekend. The Owls sent the Bulls packing taking two out of three. The Skyscrapers swept the Dukes in a hard fought two games and the Legends walked off the HA’s to move on.

So here we are, at the semi-finals with the defending champion Mud Hens back in the mix after a bye-week off. They’ll face the wild card Owls on Saturday, August 15th in a DH on field 1 (1:00 & 4:00). The Owls will throw their right / left combo of Jackson Emus and Abel Guerrero to try and contain a potent Mud Hen offense. Will it be enough to get them to the championship series?

The Skyscrapers will face off against the Legends on field 11 on Saturday (1:00 & 4:00). Can the Scrapers continue to ride the high of their Cinderella story season one step closer to the ‘Chip or will the big bats of the Legends put a stop to this fairytale? Only time will tell.

Come on out Saturday and root on your favorite team. Let’s Go Pancho!!!

The Postseason is here! Starting Saturday, August 8th the North Meadow will be alive with the crack of the bat, the pop of the glove, and the roar of the crowds. All series are best of 3. All games are nine innings. No time limit. No mercy rules.

Seeding is as follows:

1) Mud Hens (17-5)
2) Downtown Bulls (15-6-1)
3) Harlem HA’s (15-6-1)
4) Brooklyn Dukes (15-7)
5) Skyscrapers (14-8)
6) Legends (13-9)
7) Flatbush Owls (11-8-3)

The Mud Hens earn a bye this weekend by way of locking down the best record in the league. The Bulls claim the #2 seed by winning their division and thusly will play the wild card #7 Flatbush Owls. The Harlem HA’s claim the #3 seed via being in the same division as the Hens. They will take on the #6 seed, Legends. The #4 seed, Brooklyn Dukes’ road back to the championship begins with a battle against the five seed, Skyscrapers.

This is the most competitive the league has been in a while with great pitching throughout that has, in turn, begotten great hitting.

The Bulls and the Owls have perfectly split their season series each winning an 8-5 affair. Hard to call this one. They are both stacked with great arms and equally potent bats.

The HA’s swept the season series vs. the Legends including a shutout by the HA’s masterful Eric Perez, last time out. If Perez and Gaveric Bach can continue their great seasons on the mound the Legends could be in for an early exit.

The Dukes have absolutely obliterated the Skyscrapers in both their meetings this season but it’s safe to say they’ll be facing a different ‘scrapers squad than their previous games, including the big 3 of Brad Case, Vito Morgese, and Cole Walker. But the Dukes aren’t afraid of a little velo. Look for them to put the ball in play and challenge what can at times be a shaky ‘scraper D. This one is too close to call.

Come out to the North Meadow this weekend for what promises to be some incredible baseball.

The last game of the 2026 regular season is tonight…under the lights…Randall’s Island field 48…first pitch 7:00!

The Harlem HA’s (15-5-1) have already punched their ticket but they’d love to enter the postseason on a win streak. On that same note, the Central Park Los Cubs (7-13-1) would like to enter the offseason on a high note. They’ve been playing great baseball as of late but the high energy HA’s will have a lot to say about that.

Come out and enjoy the beautiful weather and some great baseball as we get ready to head into the first round of playoffs this weekend, starting Saturday, August 8th at 10:00 a.m. when the HA’s take on the Legends!

The last weekend of the regular season is shaping up to be a doozy! Playoff teams are set but seeding remains a mystery.

The Mud Hens, HA’s, Bulls, Dukes, Legends, Skyscrapers, and Owls are all in. The Hens are in the pull position for the #1 seed but the Bulls remain in contention for that coveted spot by way of a season sweep of the Hens. The Dukes are looking to unseat the HA’s for that second seed and to put a damper on the Bulls hopes. The Owls are currently making a late season push to better their #6 seed standing and the Skyscrapers hope to move out of the #7 wild card spot with a sweep of the Tigers. The Legends are locked in and just have to sit back and watch everyone else’s games this weekend to see where they land. The Mariners and the Goats are playing for pride and the Monarchs and Cubs are looking to break some hearts.

Come out and see what kind of baseball wildness will inhabit the North Meadow this weekend.

After a spate of ridiculously good baseball this weekend featuring two walk-offs of the first place Mud Hens courtesy of the Dukes and the Skyscrapers and a nine inning, complete game shutout of the Legends at the hands of the Harlem HA’s Eric Perez, we’re back at it tonight! While the seven playoff teams are now decided (Mud Hens, HA’s, Bulls, Dukes, Legends, Skyscrapers, and Owls) the seeding is far from settled.

Come out and catch the Dukes take on the Skyscrapers tonight to further confuse things : ) the Dukes are playing their fourth game in three days while the ‘scrapers are playing their third in just over 24 hours. So don’t tell us you’re too tired! It’s PCBL baseball at its finest!

Two weeks left in the regular season. Seven playoff spots up for grabs. What’s at stake this weekend? Weather is going to be great, the baseball even better!

Saturday, July 25th

Mud Hens (15-3) vs. Dukes (10-6)
1:00 | Field 1
The Mud Hens look to further cement their stranglehold on the #1 seed while the Dukes try to reassert their dominance.

Bulls (13-4-1) vs. Cubs (6-12)
DH 1:00 & 4:00 | Field 11
The Bulls are chasing the Hens for that #1 seed and remain 1 1/2 games out. They probably need to win out to catch the Muddy ones. The Cubs are looking to break some hearts and if everything breaks right, maybe slip into that 7th seed.

HA’s (12-4-1) vs. Tigers (4-14-1)
4:00, Field 1
The HA’s sit just two games behind the Hens and would love that #1 seed as well. They are in the same boat as the Bulls and probably need to win out to have any hope of that. The Tigers, like the Cubs, would love to shatter their dreams.

Sunday, July 26th

Owls (9-7-1) vs. Goats (4-15)
9:30, Field 11
The Owls are currently perched in that 7th seed but are feeling the heat from the Monarchs, just two games behind them. The Goats continue their quest to play spoiler as much as possible down the stretch.

Mud Hens (15-3) vs. Skyscrapers (11-6)
DH | 12:30 & 3:30 | Field 3
The Mud Hens play their second and third games of the weekend while the Scrapers embark on a similarly daunting three game stretch. Barring a catastrophic fold both teams are IN but the Scrapers are still angling for that one seed and with two Ws could bring that much closer to reality.

Monarchs (9-11) vs. Owls (9-7-1)
12:30 | Field 1
This has got to be the game of the week. The Monarchs are chasing the Owls for that final postseason spot with two more to play against the Owls. Simply put, this is a MUST WIN game for the ‘narchs…and a MUST NOT LOSE game for the Owls.

Dukes (10-6) vs. Mariners (1-17)
DH, 1:00 & 4:00 | Field 11
The Dukes look to capitalize while the Mariners look to capsize.

HA’s (12-4-1) vs. Legends (13-8)
6:30 | Red Hook Baseball Field 9
Both clubs are battling for the higher seeding. Who will prevail in this heavy weight matchup is anyone’s guess!
