On Halloween weekend, there were only treats and no tricks for us because our cat wing was back open!!

It felt so great to have our cats back at the shelter with visitors meeting them and welcoming them into their homes.

Thank you to everyone for your patience as we navigated the ringworm issue, and THANK YOU to our volunteers and staff for ensuring our cats were well cared for and kept getting adopted.

See you back at PAWS when you are able to stop by and meet your new best friend! by @centrecopaws

Monday Happy News -- it was our first weekend with the cat wing back open, and so many cats found their new homes.

Enjoy the adoption day photos of Oven Roasted Peanut, Ossuary, Finnegan, Ulf, Sunflower, and Andean to brighten your day! by @centrecopaws

Lukin enjoys arm October evenings, but he also loves nothing more than to wrap himself in blankets during the cooler November weather! This 5-year-old guy is really just a sweet baby waiting to be someone's snuggle bug. Lukin would prefer to be the only pet in a low-traffic home, where he can enjoy his peace and take up the whole couch. His friends at PAWS say he's an absolute gem, and that he wants nothing more than belly rubs from his favorite people!

Lukin is house trained, is a great traveler, and has some behavioral needs that our behavioral team will be happy to chat with you about. This guy can be met by appointment at PAWS, and you can submit an adoption application online today!

Thank you to everyone who attended our Halloween-themed dog showing yesterday! We had a great time, and hope you did, too. Here are a few highlights of our dogs in costume!

It's already been a week since our first annual PAWStoberfest, and we hope that everyone had as much fun as we did!

Over 400 people come together on what was a perfect fall day to enjoy live music, shop local vendors, share a meal, and support the animals at PAWS.

Every ticket purchased, raffle entry, vendor sale, and donation helped make a difference for the animals who depend on us.

The funds raised through events like PAWStober Fest help provide essential veterinary care, nutritious food, safe shelter, and the daily support animals need while in our care.

Thank you to everyone who attended and made this event possible! by @centrecopaws

Who enjoyed the extra hour of sleep last night? Our cats certainly did (though, they are cats and sleep all the time)!

They are all rested up and excited to see everyone with the cat wing, complete with kittens, back open.

Start this November off right by welcoming home a new best friend or two! by @centrecopaws

Carl is here to dispel the myths of his fellow black cats. They are not to be feared as they are so handsome and fabulous!

Our volunteers gush that Carl is a lovely big guy. As you can see, he's a lap cat and will snuggle up close.

He was also sweet, curious, and a little mischievous in his foster home, though he can be nervous around men.

Carl came to PAWS as an emergency intake due to urinary issues. Our medical team got him all squared away, determining that those issues will stay in check as long as he stays on a urinary diet (which our team will discuss further with you).

Come meet this handsome guy anytime PAWS is open. by @centrecopaws

Happy Halloween from the cats at PAWS!

It's so much easier to dress up our dogs, but Jonx was a good sport with his ninja costume.

We think that he didn't mind getting dressed up when he heard that he has an adoption pending!!

Is your cat celebrating Halloween with you? If so, we'd love to see them in their costumes. by @centrecopaws

Happy Halloween! There's no better way to celebrate than by coming to our dog showing TODAY from 12-2 at PAWS. Our dogs have been lots of fun this past week dressing up and showing off, and they hope to make more new friends today! All of these glamorous babies are available for adoption, and many will be at our showing today. You can make their holiday even sweeter by coming out and saying hi!

tldr: Cute dogs in cute costumes at our dog showing today, October 31st, 12-2PM at PAWS.

These are a few of the adorable kittens who will be at PAWS this weekend -- and you don't have to head to our basement to visit them.

ICYMI -- our cat wing is back open, and we have so many kittens and cats waiting for you to fall in love with them!!

Please join us in thanking our volunteers, staff, and fosters who ensured that we could keep welcoming in cats and making adoptions happen through the recent cat wing closure. by @centrecopaws

Our pups have been getting festive, and they can't wait to show off for you at our dog showing this Saturday (October 31st) from 12-2 PM at PAWS! Oh that feeling when you have something to rub your face up against. Florence says that it's just the best!

Florence's recent foster said that she loves to rub her face on everything.

She's such a friendly girl who will happily welcome people to your home, especially if they come with treats.

This senior gal also loves to be pet - and it's soothing for you because she has soft fur and an even softer purr.

She has tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), but don't let that scare you from coming to PAWS and seeing how wonderful Florence is! by @centrecopaws
